I sure would appreciate any suggestions for places that I could solo my 70 Mage for decent experiance. I really want to make 71, but don't have the time to group and my guild has died. I am often the only one on. Have tried a few spots but adds sure ruin things.

Thanks.

I've been soloing with my 71 bard in a few spots with varying results... one of the best places I've found is the gnolls in the Steppes. I like to kite them near the tunnel in between the northern gnolls and giants, just outside that tunnel on the east side (side closest to the gnolls). They drop a LOT of gems, a decent amount of steppes ore (used in TSes and sells for a good amount) and from what I hear some RK. II spells (although I haven't gotten any myself yet). They're all lb or db to me.

Another place I've been soloing is the basilisks in basilisk valley in Sunderrock Springs. I'll kite them right there by the zone in. The highland basilisks are purely melee and pretty easy. The other basilisks that are actually in the valley are a bit tougher. The overseers and stoneseers are casters and will try to root you a lot, as well as buff the other ones around them. They're pretty good experience though and have a good chance of dropping basilisk scales (used in TS charms, sell for 1800-2000pp in the bazaar on Povar).

I've found a few other small places here and there, but they usually have some somewhat major flaw, at least for bard chant kiting.

As a 66 necro I have kited the mobs near zone in around ICefall. Very little room for error though as a good round of hits can sometimes kill me.

While I can easily kite on my druid and necro alts I have never been able to kite with my mage. It's always, send in pet, wait, heal pet/nuke, pray/gate/run.If any mage out there has learned to kite I would love to learn how.
