After a couple of years of FFXI, I need a change, and EQ looks like it might be it. I see that I can download the game + expansions via platinum, but it says i'll need the other #'s from purchasing the software. Am I to assume this means i'll only need the original ID available from purchasing EQ at a store? Kind of like FFXI has a registration code only available via the box purchase?
Sorry if it seems like a silly question, but still unfamiliar with other MMOs besides the one. Thanks in advance.

Last I knew you still had to purchase the store copy for the ID #. I saw Titanium in Best Buy today so I know their still available.
you can get the trial download and then add the platinum down load to that. so you don't have to get a store copy. you might not even need the trial. trail if free and starts your downloads . it rally only has a small part oof what the game is like but it helps
