The best soloer i have currently seen was a twinked cleric in city of mist, he had a hammer had a 350 damage undead proc, that with a haste potion and his regular cleric nukes he could *easily* solo yellow/red con mobs (at same time with root)and took him less then 30 seconds to kill each mob, he was level 44 i believe at the time.

I was level 59 when The Serpents Spine came out. I soloed a few level 75 Elder Icefall Mammoths for the heck of it.

I am stubborn. If you want to solo, make a Necromancer.

Ok, I'm a 66 druid with 54 AA's and a 242 baking skill. Where's a good zone to solo in and don't recomend hot zones. The whole point of soloing is staying away from other people for awhile. When soloing, I'm more interested in getting some plat than I am exp, but I would like a little exp. I would hunt slargs in PON but the arachnids see invis so it's hard to get to them. Is there a way to get to them along edge of zone thats fairly safe?

I think ShadowKnights and Necromancers are by far the best soloers in the game. Beastlords are good too. :)

Old post, but bruur said
.. the biggest problem with SK's is they are a plate classes that never really will have more than 1900 AC without raid lvl gear..

My sk isn't wearing a bit of raid gear and I can break 3k AC

I've been playing for 7 years I think (perhaps six just before Kunark was released) anyhow, I've played all classes out there and I am a ranger. My Ranger is able to handle almost anything if played correctly and I've solo'd her to 62 almost exclusively, only been on one raid and I rarely group unless there is something fab going on that I want to get into. She wasn't my main to begin with but now she is. The Ranger is by far the most fun and challenging class to play.

Done right they can even wipe Necro's ;P.

The second class that I enjoy most is one of the more recent ones I've tried and that is a mage, BOOM dead. BOOM dead. Not quite as fast as a wizzie nuke but pretty darn close lol.

the only reason i say necro is because of how insanely easy it is. take this scenario as an example: youre a level 4 necro, you have a snare spell...so even without a sow your faster then the mob..which means a level 4 necro can potentially land snare on a mob MANY levels higher then him. Snare causes a fair amount of aggro, so you run...when the mob loses about 5% life its safe to send in the pet...and if your pet is a rogue omg

now mind you theres not always room to snare kite, and at higher levels mobs are either immune, or they summon...but if thats the case there are 2 spells every necro should have memmed in those situations...rune sheild (trust me, even if it only blocks 1 hit, thats one hit that you KNOW you wont be taking so you have time to cast something) and a heal over time dot. hot has a lenghty cast but when your getting back all that life per tic, and on top of it using lifetaps...

...of course the big draw back to soloing with a necro, lack of AC

Things I sometimes play...

"What do you want to be when you grow up?"
"I want to be a unicorn!"
"Awww, why's that?"........
"So I can stab people with my face."

All classes can solo, but the difference is u have to play them correctly. NOT NECRO'S. All u have to do with a necro is dot and life tap that it. Nothing complicated about that. I believe that Druids are the same. So if u want a great soloer be a necro or druid.

"think this has a lot to do with why some say the BL is over powered their pet is one of the strongest in the game, and the BL has some of the best buffs, debuffs and spells for soloing, and some ability to tank as well."

we do??? not without a lot of AA and gear. our buffs never kept up after lvl 60--at lvl 75 the self buffs for a beast are still lvl 50ish shammie buffs. our best debuff is the lvl 56 Incapacitate--a lvl 46 shammie spell, lvl 40 chantie spell.

SOE just doesn't seem to know what to do with beasts.

and no, i don't cheese to go with my whine as this isn't a whine--just pionting out the reality of our abilities is all.
