PEople will pay 200+ for a Kei, but nothing for necro rez?Follow

I don't understand people. I think my subject pretty much explains it all. Why is it people have no problem paying big bucks for a buff, but they get mad when I tell them my rez costs 160pp? I mean necro rez costs at least 150pp for the sacrifice, then 10pp for the emerald. Anyways wanted to rant abit, in the past month I have went through 6 EE and only 1 person ever gave me the money it cost for me to rez them. Every time I have told them it cost me 160pp to cast this rez and thats when they start with the (Im too poor to afford that). I mean really lvl 60+ toons can't come up with 160pp to pay for my reagent? The one group gets mad at me saying its my job to use my rez thats why I have it etc.

I mean shoot I remember having to pay clerics I grouped with 10pp to get temp before they removed peridot from the reagents.

i remember folks paying 10-15 pp for temp. a few only 6-8pp i told them that it cost 10pp or they can buy the gem and give it to me. i didn't mind a few time for low lvls' but when lvl 30-45 asked for temp and didin't pay at least the 10pp /anon 'ed in POK for almost a yr.

i was glad they removed the cost. and now i cast it to anyone who asked i wasn't trying to make money just break even. my enchater cast kei and gets donations of a good amount and i never ask for donations they just give it to me. even 10pp is nice some over 1000pp. i play this game to have fun and help other. as long as it doesn't cost me pp to cast i'll cast.

i think it's time soe remove all components. or have 2 options a non component spell last X time and if you have the copnent for the spell it last X + Y time
temp normally with EE4 i think was about 120 min can't remember been awhile but that should be cast without the gem if i had a gem add 20 min to the spell.
just an idea.

if any of you ever played asheron's call the old days where the spell components was 6 items and there was about 10 differant itens per item. i think i had 3 out of 5 back packs full of the 50 differnt components. eventualy the game just added backpacks of each shcool you casted just one other component needed. back then we also had research, trying to mach 6x10 components in the right order took a lot of time until the internet had all the combo's up to read and then programs to do the work for us.

i miss that game. but i love EQ more

I learned the hard way to not take a non guild group without a rezzer, guild I usually get reimburesed or dont care. But any other group, um no pally, no cleric shoot my guild needs me gotta run.

I'm fairly certain that the problem lies with a lack of knowledge about necro abilities and costs in general. That, and the fact that many people are cheap bastards.

My necro rezzes almost exclusively in the field for his group or raid. I did acquire a batch of EEs awhile ago but they are still annoying to gather (until I can get my ranja account active).

My cleric never mentions payment for buffs or rezzes. He'll net anywhere from 0-200pp for any of those services.

If it's in a group setting, I never expected reimbursement for a necro rez because it helps the group get back on track. If you are 60+ and rezzing someone in your group, you shouldn't have a problem recouping that cost through mob loot. You could even ask for the next major gem drop (jacinth, diamond, blue diamond, black sapphire) to break even or slightly ahead depending on the gem.

Now, if you are rezzing someone out of a group for whatever reason, that is a different story. I still remember pre-Guild Lobby days when I would run to some faraway dungeon to summon & rez someone and the person would then give me 50 pp or less. I started requiring costs for the components prior to making those runs due to people "not having enough money". I never expected some great fee, just the money to cover my end of the spells.

Maybe its just my bad luck, but usually Pick up groups are real bad on splits or sharing money. Doing one rez or even two in a pick up group (PUG) doesnt bother me. But the group has wiped but me enough times that I simply wont take the group unless it is made up of guildmembers if there is not a cleric or pally present in the group.

I also dont know what numbers your basing your prices on finding someone on my server to sacrafice isnt easy and our going bazaar rate is 500pp per EE.

I was referring to the cost a necro usually pays someone for a sacrifice, not the cost of EEs in the baz. If you're in a decent sized guild, there usually isn't a problem with finding a friend or 2 that has an alt that they won't mind saccing down (especially with the change in AA xp and it's tendency to move faster than it used to at lower levels).

True am so used to FV and the one toon per account thing that if we had 8 instead it probably wouldnt be as hard.
