Hey everyone, I am trying to retrieve my old EQ1 account that i haven't played since early 2003. I had given the account to an EQ friend at the time, he asked to use it and promised to update it for me for whenever i would come back or if i ever did. I left EQ1 with the thought i'd never be comming back because i decieded to leave EQ behind me and was planning to join the Air Force anyway to pay for college. Shortly after i had quit back in 03, a week later i was in boot camp trainning for the air force. Now after 3 years a couple of close new friends of mine i have made in the air force decieded to try out their old EQ 1 accounts, and so i'm trying to get my EQ1 account back.
I lost contact with the guy who had my account, and seeing from the EQplayers website, it says he hasn't been playing in about a year or so. I called SOE tech support and they asked for the first 4 and last 4 digits of my credit card. At the time of registering my account i had 2-3 Credit cards because i kept losing them. I guessed my first 4 digits correctly out of memory, but I can't remember the last 4 since i had more than 1 credit card at the time. The operator told me to call my finacial records or whoever keeps track of that, so i called my bank. They said they don't know because i've cancelled my credit card back then. Some of that i really didn't understand myself, I'm guessing it's because the credit card is over 3 years old and was cancelled because i lost it. So i'm digging through all my old papers and stuff trying to find an old records linking my old credit card to my EQ1 account. It's been 4 hours now, still can't find anything. Tore my room apart, and now i'm on forums trying to ask for anyone else who's been in my situation for help or guidance. I still use the E-mail that was initially registered with the EQ1 account, so i tried to do a password recovery via website. The security question is changed. I'm guessing the guy changed it along with whatever personal info he decieded to alter.
My question is, can't SOE just send an e-mail to the e-mail that was used to originaly start the account? I mean that's my e-mail and my account, and all the info that was used at the time of registered the account is all my info. I can provide a passport, driver's licsence, or any other ID linking my name to my credit card and to my address that was used to register my account. I even have the CD keys that was used with the account when i purchased it. Ugh i'm going crazy lol. Any help is very much appreciated, thank you for taking your time to read my problem. Hope someone out there can help me.
