GM Event on MaelinFollow

Yes Virginia there is a GM...

Couldn't beleive it, but around 11pm EST last night there was a GM Event on Maelin. Had a fall theme to it. An uber rat, Crop Scavenger(I think), was tormenting the Shakey Scarecrow in Rivervale. The rat(clearly controlled by a GM) was out in Kithicor, lots of us jumped on him, he ran around like crazy but we eventually downed him. He dropped some minor loot, and when we returned to the Scarecrow in Rivervale he had https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=37967 for everyone. Guide and GM also gave out some different belts to some people(I think they decided who got belts by looking at logs to see who was doing sustained damage during the fight). I was awarded a https://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/item.html?item=33968 . More importantly, it was a blast. It had been years since I had even heard of a GM event, last one I was in was probably 2003. Reminded me why I love this game so much:)

We had one on firiona the other day too

We had one on Fennin Ro too. It was in GFAY at the bandit camp. There was this prince and a slumbering beaty. You needed to gather 3 ingredients to make a potion to wake her up. Well, the third ingredient "a fire-tongue from the mountains steep" we couldnt find. Not because we didnt know it was a basilisk, was that we couldnt find a basilisk anywhere.

Everyt couple weeks or so, there is a GM in POK disquised as a horse. Yo feed the horse and he gives out 5 dose illusions, last one I did i Got 5 dose ISkar potion. HEHE kinda fun, an iksar runnning around with a tiger chasing after him
