My Rogue alt (lvl51) has been using Piercing weapons almost exclusively, and at this level is seems that my DPS is suffering for it. With the advent of the bandoleer, switching out weapons is much easier, and I am thinking of investing in a 1HS. I believe my skill is now ~200 (borrowed a fast, no stat one from a friend to get skills up), and I'd like some advice from the group.

What I currently use now are Jagged Antiquity in the primary slot, augmented with Erythrite Segment to help offset damage, and I use Legendary Dagger of Might in the off hand, augmented with Radiant Permafrost Chunk from LDoN points. I also have a Serrated Bone Dirk which I use in the primary slot to slow a running mob.

Now I know this is crazy, but I love the challenge of soloing, so please keep this in mind if you reply. Also, I would prefer to purchase this in the bazaar. I'm not rolling in plat, but could come up with a decent sum given time.

I used an Acid Pocked Mithril Blade which would be 15/20 at your level. It expensive and rare. It also is pretty much the best you can get until you can use a Velium Gemmed Dagger at level 60. You might also look at Don purchaseable daggers at level 53 you can get a Traillazere's Boot Dagger which is 15/22 and has 2 augs slots and can fit some nice aug choices for the soloer. Another good choice for 51 is Soulpiercer which has a nice damage absorb proc and would be 13/19 at level 51, and is cheap.

I would get a soulpiercer now and use it in primary, that would give 2 def procs, more damage and better ratio, should be 5-15K. Look for an acid pocked mithril blade, which I sold for 100K over a year ago. But if you do not get one by the time you are close to 59-60 do not bother, the Velium gemmed will be 15/20 at level 60 and is cheaper than the soulpiercer. When you ding 53 get the DoN dagger and replace your current offhand with the soulpeircer. At DoN merchs You can get a +1 Magic damage aug usuable at level 50 that will only fit in slot 9 which is the extra one on the DoN daggers, also upgradable to +2 magic damage at level 60. You can also get a better DoN dagger at 60 too.

You might look into player made DoN Master armor at 55, the AC on the items is great and will help while soloing.
