'Repeating Error Screens'Follow

Hi, I'm having a problem with my ever quest patcher...
You see, as soon as I logged on to my computer profile, 4 error screens in a row appear, 'The Everquest patcher is already running'
I dudn't even click on it yet. Then when I do, it starts to patch, and the four screens come back...it had no effect on the patcher however, but it is rather annoying.
I could live with it, but it minimizes EG when it does this, and I'm sure everyone knows, thats not so good.
