Anybody else's charactors animation look abit laggy since the expansion? Also when I try to 2box reguardless of zone it is running pretty poorly.

I run three instances at times and I notice it bit. I think it's just part of what happens when they release an expansion and it "seems" to smooth out over time. /shrug

I know exactly what you're talking about fronglo. Amazingly enough the actual ZONES seem to not lag, but my character's own animation while moving is very choppy, like some of the frames of the animation have been removed in between. I hope this gets fixed eventually because it looks very crappy.

Noticed it as well, character looks laggy while zone around them is fine...annoying indeed...least it isnt gameplay impacting though...

There are a few graphic bugs here and there. I noticed my ne drakkin's helm didn't show up after I looted it off of my course. That has been around for a long time though. I thought they had fixed it, so either it's back or it just never was really fixed. The attack animations do seem to be quite a bit slower then they used to as well. Half the time I can't tell if my drakkin cleric is attacking or not unless I look for the flashing red square.

I have not tried to 2-box except to buff my Drakkin. I have found it is not wise to try to zone or camp more than one toon at a time and zone times are dramatically increased if both are in game. I have resorted to camping the buffer once buffs are completed.

Glad to hear it's not my laptop being stupid again. I was fighting with my Pali and it was like a was chasing a giant animated by Atari! I'm sure it will settle down soon, and so far it doesn't seem to effect combat from what I see.

I've seen these problems. They only develop after I've been playing TSS zones for an extended period (Over three hours). It deteriorates to the point that eventually it takes 5 minutes to rotate my character 360 degrees. At that point I just logout and reboot my PC and I'm fine again.

I don't have TSS and haven't noticed any change in game performance. Probably TSS zones only.

THIS site, on the other hand..........

The performance issues/laggy animations, ect. have been being posted about quite a bit on the EQ Live forums, although I haven't noticed any major problems myself. But then i play on a pretty old machine, so maybe I'm just used to laggy graphicsSmiley: grin

I run two machines side by side through one router and I use a satellite connection (I live where a breadcrumb trail might help you find home).

I noticed since TSS launched 3 things:

My toons seem to "lock up" while looting if they click on an item for information. I can hit ESC and lose the target, but the loot window stays open and the toon won't function for about 60 seconds, although it certainly doesn't stop any MOBs from wailing on it.

The second is that most combat won't remain unlagging unless I switch to the overhead view. I have altered my eqclient file(s) to throw as much server-side as I can. Any similar problems or better still, suggestions?

The third is this: If I have one computer running the game and boot the machine next to it, it takes a half-dozen tries to bring a second toon online...they look loike they are logged in, and will show up in zone when someone /who all (toonname), but they get booted to desktop:(

I will say I love the scenery and quests thus far. This is, in my opinion, Sony's most beautiful and intersting expansion yet.

My thanks to all, see you in game.

Be well.

your third problem is exactly mine, the comp in the bedroom is the main, i have a wireless router conected to it and the 2 in the den are running off of that. the main comp is running fine for eq, but since the 27th patch the den comp are not... ack......
