After paying for all the expansions they've released, you'd think they'd just give people the extra slots anyway! I have no free slots on my main account, and don't really want to delete one of them to create a Drakkin, and I also don't want to start another alt off on yet another server.

Come on Sony, I don't WANT to play any of your other games, so Station Access is no use to me. After shelling out approx £20+ for each Everquest expansion released over the years, is a couple of extra slots too much to ask for?

I'm sure there are people out there who are going to rush to buy the station pass just for the two extra slots. I gaurentee someone already has. For 24 dollars, it aint worth it to me. If I really wanted the extra characters I would just buy another account and create 8 more toons. At least that would save me 10 bucks a month. In general however, I do agree that SoE should have given everyone at least one char slot even if it is only on one server. How are you going to come out with a new race knowing that 98% of EQ subscribers already have all 8 slots taken up? Oh well......There goes my 32 Enchanter =(

I expect you all know this (those that care), but.. you don't get "two more slots" on FV.

Still just the one. Station Access or no.

Edit: ok.. I said the wrong word.. I am old.

So what happens if you pay for the pass and create two more characters, then go back to the normal eq only subscription. Do you lose two random characters?

Yes.

"Due to issues with granting the extra two character slots to Station Access subscribers we will be temporarily granting these slots to all players. If you are not a Station Access subscriber then these slots WILL be taken away when the issue is fixed. Please do not make characters using these slots unless you are a Station Access subscriber".

If you subscribe to Station Access and then later cancel your 2 extra characters will still be there. I believe they will be orderd alphabetically though and so the two characters the farthest down in the alphabet would be unavailable unless you deleted 2 other characters. If you don't delete characters and resubscribe later you would then have access to those two characters again.
Found my answer. Oh well...

Personally I think that SOE should keep the 2 additional slots for everyone. If not for everyone, then perhaps for the people who have bought the expansion. I think it would be a nice gift, considering the money and time we all shell out to them.

How sad, it should be given to everyone or vet statue or something not just for station access.

The access sub includes EQ1, EQ2, EQOA, SWG and those games nobody plays like Planetside and the Matrix online. You still have to get an initial key to start playing a game, the access subscription just covers the monthly charges. Just be careful to add the key to an existing account and not create a new one. The extra slots are for EQ1 and EQ2, I think 4 extra in EQ2, but you only get 6 or 10 or whatever slots TOTAL for EQ2, not per server like EQ1.

Station access also includes the download mini-expansions in EQ2, been 3 (Bloodlines, Splitpaw, Dynasty) so far along with the two regular expansions (KoS & DoF). Usually the mini's are a one time $10 or $15 to access, they seem to be alternating mini's and full expansions. Next on is a full one, Echos of Faydwer.
