Halfling adventuresFollow

Ello all, Allow me to introduce meself, Names Bond, Jane Bond. I is ahalfling and an adevturor, I come from the great Isle under Everfrost, Im a druid by class but Id just assune sneak around undetected and rely on me dagger on the rare occasions what I am detected.. Beins we cant get in game today, I thought Id tell you bought one o my adventures to the human lands to the west across the great seas.



It was a cold day here, fresh snow on the ground, but Uknow us halflins are well adapted for snow, wees got big feet so we don’t sink down to far and wees got hair to keep us warm (/em wiggles toes to feel the hair between them) Its fresh new days lik this one that gets me itching to see new things, so I picked up my walking stick I did and me bag and headed west to the coast. Now mind you, being a druid, I could have just opened me spell book and ported myself to that far away land, but as I said before I enjoy the adventure, and theirs no adventure in porten, no for a true adventure you got to take a ship. So thats whut I done, I found me a ship headed to the human lands, I cast invis on meself, and I snuck across that walkway just lik I owned the place, sure I could have bought a ticket proper like but whuts the point of learnen spells if you don’t use them, sides, money is hard to come by these days, no sence in given it away if you don’t have to right? So anyway, I gets down inside the ship and I sees its packed full of Barbarians, gots some shammies, some Beast loards, some warriors and other classes to, just my luck to find my way on a chartered ship full of Barbarians, now mind you, ther are good people, some o my best friends are barbes, but picture it, me at 3 feet 5 inches tall stuck on a ship full of 7 feet tall barbarians, all o them wering kilts and not a one on them wearing any drawers, iz gona hafta keep my eyes pointed at the floor or over the side the whole trip



The voyage itself was pretty normal, I aet well on my summoned bread and water and on most days I got an added treet of rat stew, (you can always find rats on a ship ifen you know where to look), I shared me stew with some of my new barby friends, and for long I stoped worryen bout the hole no drawers thing. Then on the fifth day I sees it, out on the horizon, I sees the giant stachue of the female human, I think she must ave been a cleric mayby, cause she was wearing nothen on her body but a toga and sandles, she had a crown on her head so she must ave been a great ruler at some time in their past, I know she was some kind of caster, cause in her left hand she had er spell book open wide, and in er right hand she had a firery mace lifted high as ifin to strike. I don’t know nufen bought these humans much or their rulers, but any that make their females the rulers cant be all bad.



Soes we make port and I says goodby to my new barby friends, im in a hurry to see these humans and how they live, Im astounded by their buildings, they don’t live in huts lik sencable halflings do, they live in square blocks each stacked on top o each other, so high that they touch the sky, whut do they do when the winds come, don’t all these blocks get blown down? Just don’t make no sence to me. I stear clear o these big buildings cause I don’t want to get crushed ifen they start falling. I go south a ways and I finds me anothr city, this one aint got near so big a bildings so I figure these must be smarter humans what live here. I sees one on these building, its big, but its all close to the ground and looks pretty safe to me, and on the frount o this building it says it’s a building for UN’s I don’t know what an UN is, but I figure its worth a look. So I invis up ( its always safer that way when you go to new places) besides, it had 2 guards out frount what didnt look to frindly. And I go up to the big doors, but they wont open for me, I was just about to head round the building looking for an unlocked door or windo when this group of highelves come walking up, they show some little pieces of paper to one of the guards and that guard he opens the door for them, so of course I goes in with them. When I get inside, im awstruck by the size of this place, it looks like an arena, but ther aint no room in the floor for fightn, most all the room is taken up by the bleachers, and the seats are full, I never seen nothn lik it before, they were little groups of most every race, their were Halfelves, Dwarves, Barbys, Elves, Humans, Erudites, Halflings, Gnomes, I even sees a few Darkelves and Ogres there!! But lik I said, most of the seats were full soes I was standing with a bunch of others, most of them what had gnomish devices for capturing pictures and sound. And at the back of the room in the middle was the female erudite, she was standing at this podium thing, she had a couple body guards standing behind her and she was talking and everyone was listening to wht she had to say, so she must had been real important.



I was in amongst all these other people and I felt pretty safe, soes I clicked off my invis, then I nudged one of the guys I was standing next to and I asked him what the erudites name was and he told me, I wanted to see about what her level was so I Conned-this-Liza-Rice, and just like I figured, she was red to me, well I had seen the building, and wht Liza Rice was saying didnt make much since to me so I left out of there.



It was getting pretty late by this time and I was wandering around looking for a place to spend the night, when I saw this other bilding looking out over this big pool o water, I was thinking some fresh fish would taste mighty good about now, so I spent a few minutes fishing in the water but I didnt catch nothing but an old sandle and I spilt my beer to boot. Soes I climed up all those steps and their was a nother stachue there, this one was a human man, sitn in a chair, and he had a big beard and a big hat on, I went round back of the stachue, made me some bread and water and foraged me up some fresh berries for my evening meal, then I curled up in a ball and went to sleep.



So ended me 1st night in amongst the Humans, strange people ifen you ask me.
