It'll be a long time before SoE gets another hard earned dollar from me.

(sigh) ordered it for all 4 of my accounts....friggin hate the level cap increase...hate expansions in general.


Just not looking forward to xp grinding again, especially not looking forward to spell hunting again on 3 casters...


Can't even imagine what spells they can come out with.

I won't see 70 on any of my toons for a good stretch, since I'm grinding 90% AA and sticking to it (especially now that there's going to be an upgrade for the grind speed), so I'm in no rush to unlock 75. As for the new race, I'll eventually make one, probably an SK since I have so much gear lying around that suits one.

It's this kind of thinking that is ruining EQ. Soloer's get tier one spells, groupers get tier 2 spells and raiders get tier 3 ( best version ) spell. This is a bunch of BS. Why? It's very simple, All 3 play styles pay the same to play and all should be able to get the same rewards. How? That's simple too. Program 3 different tiers of mobs, who all drop the same drops. Personally I think it would be much more rewarding to solo a version of Fennin Ro then going on a raid to kill him. Why? Because I did it all on my own and got the rewards thereof for my dollars. Is it as rewarding to go on a raid to get something when all you do is buff on the raid like chanters? Or be able to get all your stuff on your own? Currently the only way to obtain anything worth while for your hard earned dollars is raiding. Oh, but wait, doing the tiered mobs would cause too much satisfaction among players and thus will never happen as SOE doesn't cater to anyone but raiders. I have played all 3 styles of playing and the solo way is the most satisfying. However, it is the most frustrating as well because you don't get squat for it. I pay the same amount as the guy who lives in ten buck two but I have to wait till he is on to play so I can get something done. The only way to balance this game is to switch to the tiered mobs model. Then every class and play style will be able to get what they pay for. I foresee more server mergers in SOE's near future. I play this game for my satisfaction not the guy's down the street. So give me what I pay for.... the whole game and all it's content. Thank God I'm in a raiding guild.

It is communists like you who give us capitalists fits. My main is a necro and I solo 80% of the time. My guild on a good day can handle the Hedge. I would be very embarassed to be weilding an item that friends of mine spent countless hours refining detailed scripts to obtain. As a soloer I have yet to run out of quality content and doubt I will ever. My $15 buck is just as good as those uber raiders but by no means entitles me to one single thing they earn. I proudly wear and weild my equipment because I earned it. Recieving a raid item solo...is just lazy.

This expansion is not just about 71-75. Think of it more along the lines of Kunark where it provided hunting zones for all levels. The zones are spacious and the amount of quests in this new expansion are too many to count. Also, from what I've seen, the rewards for these quests match up well to the appropriate levels. If you think the only purpose of this expansion is provide content for the high levels, you are severely mistaken. There are even events in some zones that are tuned to 2-3 groups of level 50+ players. Anyways, my basic point is that this is the first expansion in a long time that really offers sizeable & rewarding content to all styles of play.

Whoops. I spoke to soon. I noticed that something subscribers should get with TSS was also made a part of the Station Pass, mainly 2 additional character slots. I don't need to spend 10+ dollars more per month to have access to play other games I neither own nor want to play. I can wait for the price drop.

I read somewhere you will be able to purchase TSS again after the servers are back up today.....

That's just not true. There's plenty of great stuff in DoDH that is not raid oriented. I somewhat agree about groupable good gear, but soloing should not yield the same things. And frankly, if you can get X with a single group, then there's no reason why anyone would raid to get the same item? For that matter, why would they group, if they can solo it? Grouping gives you maybe a 1/6 chance for X. Raiding 1/54 (or worse). Soloing it gives you 100% chance of getting X (assuming X is what drops...but that's an issue regardless of which way you kill the mob).

Frankly, if there was more gouping on non-progression servers, I'd be good with grouping alone. Good gear makes things easier, but it's not absolutely necessary...at least not as a Chanter.
