That is the best deal if you want to start playing eq. As for the time this game has left goes I would say quite awhile since they are still churning expansions out every 6 months.

What'd EQ Titanium cost you? About twenty bucks?

For $20, if you only got a month's worth of good times out of it, you still came out ahead.

years still to go then maby open sourse the game or free servers or at least lower cost and no support. but still a long time to go. game play more important then graphics. just look at other games and see most play the good games vs just good graphics. people leave for them but come back to eq and the other good game play thats out there

Yeah, for twenty bucks it's hardly worth questioning your choice.

As far as servers go the newest are Stromm, Povar and Maelin Starpyre, however with the server merges last year the populations are all pretty jumbled - still I would try one of those for a classic server.

There are two Progression Servers, The Combine and The Sleeper, that don't yet have all the expansions unlocked but which likely have a lower level population for grouping with.

Have Fun:)

The Progression Servers are actually the newest servers. They were created in response to all the people asking to be able through the content as it was released.

So, originally when the progression servers opened they only had original EQ content. Expansions are opened as content is completed...usually by one or two top guilds that pretty much burn through the levels. Currently I believe they have been opened up to the third expansion and I believe that is the Scars of Velious....I could be wrong though:/

freddd, to answer your question, yes, you made a smart investment. I just came over from EQOA myself after playing it from the start and the change of pace alone is worth the money, though still taking some getting used to.

As for the progression servers, they aren't like Hodstock on EQOA where they test new programs. Rather it's a retro server which doesn't make all the expansions available, as was stated above.

I've actually really enjoyed the limited time I've been able to play so far and have found it to be well worth the money invested, especially since the community seems to be far more helpful (and thankful) than what's on EQOA in general. It seems to just be a simply more adult group in regards to how they act.

I don't know if you've picked a server yet, but I randomly picked Bertox, and if I'm on I'm usually there. In the starting levels in Gloomingdeep there are usually a decent number of people, and apparently there are other new people getting past there as I've seen many of the questions I myself would have asked being thrown around in the Plane of knowledge.

If you decide to stop in drop me a line. My mage's name is Kaltonas.
