I'll create one just for fun, though I'm not sure how much play time it will get. I haven't decided on a class, yet.

I suffer from Newtoonitis, so the new race and zones will definitely cause me to delete one of my less enjoyed toons to create a new one.

Varity is the spice of life (and games). I will start a Drakkin monk. Had a monk up to 20 once and it was kind of fun. I just need a low level toon to play around with. Who know He may end up on of my many level 50s toons.

I would absolutely make one (if I was active).. but how far would I play it.. not sure.

I have an entire Guild (named Froooak) of Frogloks (with French names) on Luclin that has never been out of the Tutorial and PoK.

But.. of course you would play one.. if you played. Has anyone *not* tried a Var, or a Froglok?

I was contemplating starting a necro. Leveled one up to 10, then the news hit the Drakkin will have necro, so I ditched that lowbie and will start a Drakkin based necro.

I may make one as a trader. I do think they are the coolest looking race since the Guktans.

I rank i there with do not plan to buy, at least not for awhile. Of course I hate to say it but I probably would be suckered into buying it if SOE includes some sort of temp feature that somehow lets me level about 10X faster then I should or earn plat 10X faster then I should. I would just about lay money on it they will have some zone on there with massive exp for about 2 weeks then they will nerf it. Either that or some sort of way to make super easy money that will get nerfed in about 2 weeks.

I think alot of people will make oneof them will and a few will lvl them up to 75 quick enough. I can foresee alot of pp having them as Bazaar mules.

I really dislike the way they look so if I do end up buying the expansion eventually I know i'll never play a drakkin.

Anybody else predict the price of twinkish like non-recommended levels will skyrocket for awhile after this expansion arrives? Looking for Fungi tunics to double, Ornate Rune Blades to go up (best 2h slash till 20 IMO because of its low delay and the damage cap on players), Lodizal drops, etc etc.

I think I will give this one a try. I haven't started a new toon in awhile and I am looking forward to seeing what this new race has to offer.

I'm disappointed. Kind of like the frogloks...I may try one but to 70 or 75 probably not.

Interesting that you can play a Monk with this new race. Kinda rough trying to start over at level 57 though, especially since I am a casual player and level kinda slow. :-p At least this will add a little more variety for those who are interested to try the Monk class.

I have tried most if not all the other races i am very interested in the Drakkin race tho i have not done much research yet as to which classes they will be but i am thinking that dragons are strong in magic so i figure they will be great casters. Guess well just have to wait and see i have already preordered SS. If anyone can point me to the classes available i would greatly appreciate it )) thanks

I am hesitant atm but I really like the look on the chain drakkin. I have been pondering making a rogue, but I dont like the extreme height of the Vah Shir, nor the stupid looks of the gnomes. That cuts out the cool rogue classes pretty harshly. Anyhow I think they tattoo and hair color looks are going to be interesting. I hope they soon alter the total character interaction to more of a oblivion style body generator. I know some other mpogs allow for complete body mods. I dont know about you but I dont like everyone running around like Arnold or Fabio. Rogues are meant to be sorta rotund and scrawny. That is why they pokey your backside.

Anyhow just two cents, Maybe a dev will see this and think about it.

I left EQ for quite some time (about 1 1/2 years) and started again on the Sleeper with a druid. After getting him to 48 I am now ready to try the normal servers again. What better opportunity than to begin from scratch. I hope with the new race, complete new zones from 0-75 and a set of new quests, the boredom that sent me away will keep off for some time

New level cap? Boo. Bad move.

At some point I'll try a Drakkin Monk. I'm happy playing my SK, Wiz and Rogue, so don't really have a lot of extra time to seriously play another toon. Then again...I do have one more toon slot...

I'll play around on the creation screen for sure. I have 3 10ish level alts atm(a druid, a shammy, and a bst) If I really like the Drak, it will replace my current druid, a wood elf. If not, I may still make a Pally or Sk Drak, but if the druid doesn't strike me as fun, i'll probably never get a Drak over level 15.

No unlikely, I wish SOE had kept the race benefits pure. Meaning you start a troll warrior, by level 70 given gear a halfling warrior can tank and have the same stats, and be leveled way easier. No benefit for leveling a harder race

To me, they look like humans with points. Nothing new about them
