Could someone tell me what is the maximum regen you can get from gear ? I have about 12 points in total from wearable stuff.
I just dinged 65 and I have no AA's yet.

worn ft cap is 15 (without aa's). With aa's can get up to ft 20 worn.
The AAs he is talking about raise the cap on worn (tribute counts as worn) mana regen. There are also AAs that give you mana regen which do not count against the worn cap.

With no AA, you can have up to 15 mana regen from items and tribute. Anything over 15 is ignored.
With the Expansive Mind AA (5 ranks at 5 AA points each), you can increase that cap an additional mana regen point per rank. If you spend 25 AA, you can then have up to 20 mana regen from items and tribute, and anything over 20 is ignored.
In terms of mana regen from items and tribute, this is the most that the system will recognize. You can have more, but only 20 will be used. After the worn mana regen, you can start adding Mental Clarity, spells and songs.

Why does it show on EQ Rankings that Bards and Rangers have FT24 and Wizzies have 33?

The extra comes from the Body & Mind Rejuvenation aa.
EQrankings/magelo shows the max for casters to be 33 b/c we can have a clicky item that gives us 10FT that stacks with all other worn FT

yeah but these are casted as clicky buffs, not worn. so the cap still stands at 23
