I play while working, my boss doesn't have a problem with it at all. Of course it helps that I am the boss and own the business. =D

I guess I am one of the lucky ones. I own my own business as well and if I feel like playing during normal business hours then there is nobody around to stop me. However I end up doing a lot of service calls so its not like I get to play all the time. It really helps to pass the time between customers though.

I play EQ at work. My main is a cleric but I play mostly as my alt ranger at work. In PU grp, I jus hit autofire, snare and afk :p...ahh the life of a ranger

If my boss or senior comes to by cubicle, I hit my StealthWindows button to hide my EQ..See no evil, hear no evil, do no evil :p

Other than that, jus doing vendor diving, baz windowshopping and trolling around EQ sites :)

I hate to say it, but I work at a job that allows me to play EQ for 6-7 hours/day 5 days a week. It's actually gotten to the point where I don't play EQ anywhere but at work anymore. I had cancelled my account a while ago (right after PoP) and when I realized that I could play EQ at work, I reactivated my account and haven't look back. The people I work with make jokes about me playing EQ all the time, but believe me my shifts go very quickly!

Must be nice to not work at work :P And still get payed. So just what is it that you do?

I can't say totally cause I work in a government building. But I bring my own laptop and my own internet connection and fire away. No one cares what we do really, as most of the people I work with sleep. I used to watch movies but that put me to sleep a lot, too. I have a problem sleeping at work, but EQ? No problem, there!

In reality, my job is fairly simple. I spend the first 30-45 mins setting up for the shift, and then there's only about 3 mins worth of work to do every 2 hours for the remainder of my shift.

Yes, I love my job. =)

I work for the state in the disability processing unit, where there's a lot of confidential info stored in the system. Sometimes I can't even get an e-mail in to me since they're all reviewed prior to being sent to us. They review every single website we attempt to get into and if it's potentially dangerous we get flagged and get a big red screen warning. So, I guess simply put... no, lol.

play at work = get caught = lose job = no cash = no EQ

So the answer is no

Work IT for a school district, we can't have summer off due to admin people being around. Contract has us on site whenever admin office is open.
About end of July/early August we don't have much on the schedule at all some years, so I tried it one week, on our new teacher gx620's (33 of them, wanted to try to 12 box in our set-up room). Too bad it kept crashing. I bet it was those darn old applications installed ruined the system. (gx620's with 1gb ram work just fine for EQ)

I wouldn't do it if there was anything else to do, and would feel guilty to get paid to do that all the time.

When EQ started my Boss at the time was big into p[laying LAN and internet games. The way things worked there was as long as the work was done and you played(not beating him) all was good. Matter of fact I think raises where based on how much you gamed with the boss. : )

I used to be able to. I ran the computer lab at a community college during the evening to night shifts. As long as I helped the students when they needed it I could do anything I wanted. My boss even suggested bringing in something to do. So I took in my laptop, hooked up to their internet and normally I just farmed or shopped in the bazaar due to lag but once in a while I'd truely go hunting. I'm hoping to find another job like that where I can at least do the bazaar thing but if not, oh well. (No I didn't lose my job over it.)

The only job I've ever had where I could have played at work, I left in 2000. Since I started EQ in 2003 I've never been able to play during work. *sniff* But if I find a way to at my current job, I would do it in a heartbeat.*grin*

No...the computers won't allow it. We're restricted but I've definitely tried.

well, since I'm at an Aluminum Foundry....no

Enjoy it if ya can do it though, but I'll never get that opportunity here, work too hard to even have time to do it if it were somehow possible.

At my current job, they are throwing a huge fit over people being on the internet. So the answer to that would be no.

To date no. But I am in IT(which consists of me and my boss), so if I had a private office would be a different story. Maybe in a year or so when the new building gets finished. I did have a job doing contract work, and played the crap out of the old console emulators. They can really kill time for ya lol.

I am in Project Management for Construction. During normal working hours there is just no time to play. People are bombarding me questions and stuff all day long.

In those situations that I work on Saturday or Sunday, it is just to be the token company representative on site. Our insurance requires us to have a management person on site while the hourly labor is working. Since I am literally baby-sitting at that point and my work is caught up, then I have no problem with playing at work.

Other than the Sat/Sun playing, I have run EQ in the background to either buff randomly in PoK or have the vendor up in the Bazaar.
