All depends on your definition of "Alot" i find that during peak hours theres plenty. i havnt had any trouble grouping or such so if thats you mean then ya theres "alot".

Wow, I haven't played in over a year and I thought it would be silly to come here and ask that (I remember how annoying it was to see the same question every week back before I quit). Some I come here and check things out and find that the forums are the same for the most part at least. Guess I'll have to actually log into the game to see how things have changed since before DoD. BF2 has pretty much run its course for me so I've been considering returning to EQ for the past few days... posting here for the first time in over a year is the first step I guess. Good to see some familiar names at least.

... excellent characterization and analysis. Depending on which server you are on you can find people during peak hours. Off peak hours and during raid hours finding or building groups can be extremely difficult. Also people often wish to go to very undesireable zones so you may want to build the group yourself.

God help you if your not level 70 thoug LOL

yes it's me boxing the 4 . my wife won't let up activat the other 4 accounts i have.

i heard about a religion that alows more then one wife. :-) i think i should join and have 2 or 3 , just so i could have more money they could all work while i play all 8 accounts :-)

but i think my current wife would never alow that. and would leave me taking every thing i own if i even tried to suggest it.

i have a five yr debt after that if eq still around i can have it all she said. all as in the 8 accounts not 3 wives.

population on my server at night 12 am to 3 am just in pok is about 80-120 characters. again 4 are my boxing and i know a lot of others box now to, or at least box in pok for buffs to self and others. i do that with enchanter alt tab durning down time to buff players in pok. i like helping others its fun

bazaar has a lot in there but as in active players probly 200-500 during night. day i'd guess 400-800. per server. servers mergd a yr ago i think

Hey Joph! So you actually hung up the drums, huh? It must've been a sad day for bardom (although IIRC you weren't really playing him that much in AS anyway, were you?).

Well, I went through the paces last night and actually logged in. Didn't do anything since by the time I had everything updated it was pretty late. I had to revert to the default UI, which is still quite different then the default UI from when I stopped playing last time. I'm having a hard time remembering all the hotkeys and the spells... that'll come back with time. The thing to decide now though... I was planning on buying 1 of the newer expansions, either DoDH or PoR. I don't really plan on playing my bard anymore. He was fun, but he was far too much work to consider it a game. I'll probably stick with my necro mostly who is level 54. So, the big question for all you is, which would you consider the better of the two, particularly for a 54 necro (who both groups and solos). I have all of the expansions up to and including DoN and of course I plan on utilizing them, but I want some new places to hunt as well.

From what I've been able to pick up from around here is it looks like PoR is THE expansion as far as gear upgrades. It LOOKS like it might be more geared to the post 65 crowd though, at least from what I can tell. It LOOKS like DoDH is soloable in parts by a 54 necro. Decisions, decisions. So, as annoying as these questions are to answer every week, please humor me and let me know your opinions. Forum search was the one thing I always wished Alla would allow for all users...

PS How's AS doing these days? I'm sure some of you are still in it.

1. Buy the Titanium edition of EQ. That will give you all expansions except PoR for $19.99.

2. Don't waste your time buying PoR until you are at least 68. They have a multitude of easy solo/single group quests that let you get massive gear and augment upgrades (for casual players). However, most of the gear is required level 68. There are a few things like auras for the lower level, but they aren't worth buying the expansion for until you get higher in level.

3. Not many people solo or single group in the DoDh zones. Most are there for completing quests, and that is about it. If you are looking for places to group/solo your best bet is still the OOW zones. At 54, you would want to do Dranik's Scar, or maybe Bloodfields if you have better gear.

4. Monster Missions are a great way of getting gear upgrades if you are a casual player. One of the best features is that levels are irrelevent, so it generally makes it easier for you to find groups. The problem is that SOE nerfed the experience on most of the missions, so they are less popular now then when they first came out.
