not bad a new monk possility and all other classes but no beastlord. it could have been cool having a baby dragon as a pet to raise to full size as a mount by lvl 60, just an idea

I never did understand the lore behind Shamans and Beastlords. The lore says something about being in tune with nature and that is the reason Humans can't be either. However fat evil stinking Trolls/Ogres can? So Ogres and Trolls are more in Tune with nature??? That doesn't make sense to me.

Barbarians are technically human (as are Erudites) but obviously the game treats them as separate races.

Prior to Frogloks, the rule seemed to be that a race could either have shamans or clerics but not both. The assumption being that the more primative races (ogres, trolls, barbarians and later iksar & Vah Shir) had shamans who were nature and spirit oriented and the more "advanced" races (humans/Erudites, dwarves, gnomes, halflings and the elves) had a more formalized religion which included clerics (or druids in the case of the wood elves).

But then they threw in frogloks who could do both so... meh.

I once had a troll shaman who I roleplayed as a witchdoctor type. When she cast "Spirit of Ox" on you, it was a matter of dipping her fingers into ox blood and flicking it on you or smearing a sigil on you for strength using a mixture of body fluids and crushed bone. That's how I picture shamans -- not "in tune with nature" like elves but very primal and almost animalistic instead.
