I just moved my character to another account - does anyone know appx. how long it will take ? 
It varies, but after SOE approves the move, it could happen in a day.
Moving my shammy took 3 days, but I moved him both server and account.

Over the last 15 months, we've traveled to every corner of the United States. I've now been in 57 states? I think one left to go.

Thanks for the info - I moved to same server, so I hope it doesn't take weeks and I just read on the Sony website....
I've done it 2 times. Once it took 2 days and the other about 6 maybe. Hope this helps.
Took me three days, I believe.

I've done it once only, moved a char off one account onto a new one (on same server), took 3 days

What are the main reasons to move a toon from one server to another??? It seems awfully expensive to do this....

If you have a fully-developed toon on one server, but have a friends, etc. on another that you want to join. For example when the servers merged and they allowed free server transfers, I moved my two high-levels at that time to join with Aude Sapere. Later on when I reactivated my other account, I paid to move that character as well.

It's been allmost 3 years since I moved a chanracter to another account. However, it happened allmost overnight. Maybe things happened faster then, or the folks that do that had fewer requests.

I was on 7th hammer and our little guild finally disolved and I'd been a lurker on Alla's for years. I started corresponding with some of the Aude folks and decided that AS was the place for us, so the wife and I transferred our mains - mine: 70 Warrior, 66 necro ... her: 70 cleric, 63 chanter.
We figured the money was well spent considering the time invested in the toons and the gear they have on them, it would have taken us forever to level/re-equip to have comparable toons on Povar.
I went though several days of email with SOE to prove I was the original owner of the account. How was I to remember which credit card I used 5 years ago on an old bank account? Once they were happy, I was who I said I was, it only took a couple days to move to another server.
Just finding a good group of friends to play with, made the hassle worth it, as my main gone up in level more since I move her to Povar, then back when my old CT guild was active.
Plus SOE added an "X" to the end of Primrose and after the first shock of seeing her new name, I've grown to love it. How else can one get around their naming policy and be able to blame SOE for it.

I think it took me 4 days.
I'm closing out the 72 hour mark (3 days) and I was curious how long it took the OPs move. I doubt yet hope they work weekends..
edit: they do work weekends, and it took exactly 3 days
