I got as far as reserving a name. I only plan to play if main servers are down though.

I thought it would be fun to try, but after not being able to find anything to kill I just gave up and went back to my regular server.

When is Sony going to wake up... Building a Server to take players away from another server they are playing is hurting the game...What they need to do is get the NEW players into the game, not experience players building a new character.
If they want to see how bad of decisions they have made… make a PvP server that allows looting coin and 1 item and see how many people leave Zek and transfer to that server.
But again the Biggest Problem is bringing in the brand new player to populate the servers. Not spread the ever-thinning population of veteran players.
While on my soap box just saw the new expansion you could buy on my log in screen….whoopee…. I haven’t even explored half the other new zones from the last three expansions.
Remember a long time ago when they introduced the Warrens… thought that was so great….one zone.. I could plan to explore…Free… made use of a continuation of a zone…look how many dead ends there are in the EQ world now?. Would be a great idea not even to tell anyone…just put zone in and see how fast it is discovered… and (gasp) maybe people would start exploring old zones to see if they could find a new one???? Wait that would spark interest in the game…please Sony forget I said this.

Got a Druid to 37, a few alts to teens. Its been fun, but I doubt I'll play past the point when Druids are no longer needed (i.e., PoP), which is looking to be the beginning of November. Confusing jumble of expectations here, lots of people wanting to play the "classic" game for a good long while, but little chance of that since its also a race for uber-guilds to unlock the expansions. Levelling is SO easy compared to the old days, its ridiculous. Serious twinkage not possible yet, though, so it still has a bit of the feel of how it was.

No one will stay here long unless they're (1) in one of the guilds unlocking the progression, or (2) looking to start over for the long haul on a new server. The "classic" game experience will be gone in a month or two.

I actually think the fun part of the "classic" severs is done for me. Since I have the attention span of a 10 year old and the responsibilities of a 31 year old, I don't have a ton of time to focus and spend on leveling up a toon from scratch. Not complaining at all, its just life at the moment.

I have to thank SoE for the servers. I think it was a great idea. I thought I was going to be able to hang in on the wave a lot longer but I just don't have the time anymore. When there were level 50 toons about 4 days after the servers opened and I was only level 6, I should have realized that...

Too bad there is not a classic server for people above the age of 30, who work long hours and only have about an hour or two to play each day. I would sign uo for that!!!

Level cap goes up to 60 with Kunark. Levelling is silly easy in the Kunark hot zones, though. Seems like a lot of the "classic" folk have left already - I want to stay for Velious at least. I loved Velious. Smiley: smile
