Started for a couple of days and got bored trying to find mobs stood up.

Ended up camping a spawn point.

Got to level 12 before it got too much like drilling my own fillings.

I had a level 10 wizzy and a level 8 chanter. After I got to the end of the stein of moggok quest with my chanter and found my alliance spell was rendered useless by a thoughtless patch thus ruining the quest, I got pissed and gave up on the server.

have 51 chanter and 50 cleric, and am loving it. Have to admit it is a little more difficult, but it reminds me of the old days

I have a level 14 and my son has a level 32 druid. He seemed to enjoy it alot, since he only started playing over past couple of years. I have been too busy with summer stuff to play recently though.

I have a 9/10 Ranger and an 8/9 Rogue......I never had intentions of leaving my main server to play on progression. Personally I started playing late 2004 just after OoW was released, and I can tell I never would have stayed playing EQ if I had started way back when it 1st came out.

Waste of time and probably drains more SoE support than it is worth to the community. SoE blows.

I tried to play on the new server. Got only to 3 when I decided the blatant training, KSing, and ninja was ruining my experience. Came back a couple weeks later to find the newbie zones empty and was hard for me to get groups. Seems the glory hounds were only interested in getting to high level as fast as possible, getting in a good guild, and trying to be the first to unlock next part.

I never got any impression it was like old time, it was more like the race by the top guilds.

lvl 40 barbarian warrior named Peneloppe Peneloppe on the Combine. Having great fun here, loving every minute of it, ***** the new expansions.

Agreed, I'm having plenty of fun on The Sleeper. I'm level 51, and almost back up to the level I was at when I stopped playing EQ the last time.

I don't understand why some people are complaining that it takes support away from the other servers. Is Ayonae Ro glitching and you didn't get your +200 to all stats earring? I'm afraid I have no sympathy.

New is good. And these progression servers are a new way to play... I'm actually getting to experience content I never did on Tribunal, because there are actually people in the older zones to group with now. :P

I'm even looking forward to enjoying the coldain shawl quest a second time.

Got to lvl 3 a couple of days after it went live, got sick of trying to fight 200+ ppl for a dwarf skeleton and quit. Might revist it, but had more fun in the real "old" days which for me was Dec 01.

Progression is in no way whatsoever like when i started Playing EQ. A bunch of noobs running around KSing, Training and Ninjaing isnt what it used to be like. There was never maps, theres tons of stuff that used to be that isnt there still. It sucks. I got a Shadow Knight to level 8 and i got sick of being trained and KSed so i left. Its not fun like EQ used to be. So i went back to Maelin and i enjoy getting killed in RSS moe than getting killed in Upper guk by some noobs every 20 seconds.

I'm enjoying the game. My new Shaman is up to level 56 so far, and will hopefully be at or close to level 60 by the time Veeshan's Peak is cleared and Velious opens on the Combine.

I didn't have a chance to start on combine untill after kunark opened..
Which, incidentally, is when i originally started playing the game the first time..
Now it is not so crowded in the newer zones. But the highers are showing up to get thier spells, so you actually can get the occasional buff from them. Just wish i could remember where i got certain things without having to jump here umpteen times a day to find which npc got what from which mob.LOL

Reached 31 early this morning with my HE Enchanter in The Overthere, started the day at 29.

Having a great time on the combine I missed most of the high end content on the old zones and it is mostly new to me. As for ksing training and ninja looting, I have seen no more trains than i did in the first go round in KC, Unrest and MM. While the two top guilds may feud over major bossed it hasnt affected me and in groups with both of them they seemed just like most other players except they know their class duties. Can't understand why people dont like the excitement of lots of players in the zones and the fierce competition that goes with high numbers. You just have to be sharp to get the kills.

Got enchanter to 18 mostly solo in highpass. Grouped some in South Ro like in the old days. Twinked out a level 8 shammy with chain mail drops which was nice. Started an Iksar with Kunark but soon lost interest in the gimp gear and went back to main server.

I didn't even bother. The screen shots of Kelethin, opening day, were enough to make me nauseous, and the reports from friends and guildies on my server that DID go were enough to make be downright ill.

I've seen some of the old content. I intend so see a lot more of it. That's one reazon I've got my Mage up to the level she is. The content may not be the same, but at least I don't need a full group or a raid of 40 to see it anymore. The group content, I can probably sneak around solo, and the raid content... well, if I can't find a group, I'll be able to solo that, too, if I really have the drive to.

If people mean "old content" when they're talking about every spawn worth talking about being camped, a zone packed with 80 to 200 people, KSing, ninja looting, and just generally making themselves a nuissance... If I wanted that, I'd have bought PoR the day it came out, and I'd buy whatever the hell the next expansion is, pre-order.

If "old content" means pounding through small trains of green beasties to get down to Trakanon, or spending fifty thousand hours "questing" for the key to Vex Thal, yeah. I'll see that. And raise you getting keyed for Anguish, too.

Level 14 necro here...

I am enjoying playing the game since I only started right around the POp expansion. It's nice to run through the old-world zones and explore areas that I have heard about but never bothered to go there.

The only thing that wears on me is the time it takes to EXP even at a low level. I know thats part of the game so I don't care all that much.

Also, I have been having modem problems since I live out it the styx now. Never get a wireless modem that gets its signal from a nearby tower. It constantly drops that signal and causes my necro to bite the dust quite often. I would hae been level 17 or 18 if I haven;t had the problem of going LD all the time.

Last night I had the huge urge to "TWINK" a toon after playing on the combine. Logged into my Bristlebane account and spent 50k plat on a newbie ranger. I felt much better after I did that....

When it was in Beta I was a 32MAG. Since it went live I've hardly touched him. I don't think he's more than level 3 right now. Then again I hardly played on my regular server since Feb. I thought the Progression one was going to bring me back, but it didn't.

i have a 17 necro, 9 sk, 8 bard. just rolled a druid, already to 7 (not sure whether the necro or druid will be my new main). i'm enjoying playing in a relatively untwinked environment. playing a caster without a twink's starting mana pool & int/wis is....interesting, challenging, and loads of fun. having a blast questing and tradeskilling most of my own armor (patchwork & raw silk ftw!). it's great to be able to get groups in gfay, crushbone, bb again. as for my toons back on stromm, i haven't even logged them in since the progression servers went live.

This Server is not like anyone wanted more ppl would have played it if it was just like the first time thay played it. this is nothing more than locking new expanshions out on a new server wahare is the fun in that? What happened to the book and the other grate things we miss out on now days. The only good thing that this server has is NO POK now ppl will have to run or find a port to the /loc of ther choice. Make a game to easy and it will get boring just like it has been!
