So I'm starting up EQ again for the first time in a long time. First played around the time it first came out, when lvl 60 was the cap and downing Vox was a real big deal.

Obviously things are different now, I don't really want to know what's different (surprises and such) but I was wondering if there was a good guide for starting players out there.

The first new thing you'll find if you roll a new toon is a new tutorial. Check that out. It will fill you in on some of the changes.

One other interesting kind of deal going on is the opening of two progression servers....maybe you've heard about them??? The Combine and the Sleeper servers are 'old school' in that they have only had one expansions worth (or is it two?) of content opened up. So basically if you played on either of those servers the world of Norrath would feel very much like the same one you left so long ago.

If you play on a traditional server there are now 10 expansions with number 11 on the way (and a new level cap of 75), so you can imagine the virtual world is a very different place...check it out:D

no guides per se, but a collection of useful infos (you might want to add stuff whenever you think it is not comprehensive) you find at the EQ strat wiki - and of course there is always the class specific sites.
