Morning everyone,

I am interested in making the run to the Field of Bone and Kurns Tower. I have a level 13 necro and currently bound in the Qeynos area on the progression server. Will someone please give me directions to get from Qeynos to Field of Bone....

I am on the progression server and therefore no books to POK!

Thanks in advance.

The best way is to get a port to Butcherblock Mountians> Timorous deep >Firiona Vie > Swamp of No Hope > Field of Bone. Be careful in FV that can be hazardous at your level. You could also go port to Dreadlands then Firiona Vie, but most druids won't have dreadlands spell yet, and through bottom of Dreadlands to top where entrance to Firiona Vie, is a long hazardous run for a level 13. If you have to run from Qeynos to freeport, instead of porting that is a long way. Qeynos> Qeynos Hills> West Karana> North Karana> East Karana>High hold Pass>Kitthicor (day) > West Commonlands > East Commonlands> Freeport> Butcerblock.

GoodLuck and getting a sow from druid porting you will help immensly.

Egads!

I will need a 10 dose blood of the wolf for that run!

Maybe Blackburrow and the karanas aren't so bad after all!

Some do but not very many, you have to watch out for Drogmars and some of the caster drachnids if memory serves.

As a necro, I would go the OT route...

Dock in Oasis to board the evil boat. At the orge island in Tim Deep switch to the evil boat to The Overthere. As a necro, the DE outpost in OT should be friendly to you. I'd bind there. Leave the outpost and follow the shore line east (? I think) while invis'ed. Once you hit the zone wall, turn south and look for the path to Warsilk Woods. In Warsilk, I think there very few mobs that see invis, if any. It is a mid level zone for Kunark. Head to the northeast corner of zone for the FoB zone. There are a couple deep ravines so cross at the bridges.

Wasn't there a place in ocean of Tears where you could swim under water into a room with different pots. Each pot transported you to a different city when touched? This was out when Kunark came out I believe.

This place is in Timourous Deep. It is so far away from everything else in the zone that it takes forever to get to it. It was a fun place to be bound until I learned that dragon pathed by there and would aggro. Once Veilous came out it served little purpose to be bound there.

There are no boats (at least not yet) on any servers including progression servers.

Might be worth checking to see if the fire-pot room is there. Head to Timorous Deep. Lev up (or a long swim!) and head to the SW corner of the zone. Avoid the raptor island (stay west). Look for Spires jutting out of the water (similar to the Luclin spires. Swim down and through the hole in the ocean floor.

Click on the Cabilis pot and you will be transported into West Cabilis just inside from Lake of Ill Omen. Don't let the guards see you!

Invis through to East Cabilis and out to FoB! Voila!

I didn't think the pots were labeled. I remember clicking them all one by one and writing down which was which once.

Pots are not labeled but the Cabilis one is obvious. Tall gold pot with an Iksar symbol on it.

Whew! I made it with no deaths....

Found a Drood in Northern Karana who was kind enough, after a small bribe of platinum pieces, to port me to the dreaded DreadLands. He threw in a free SOW and giggled when I told him I was headed to the big city! He then ported away fairly quickly... Hmmm.

Started the trek through a big cave heading out towards the huge zone. Made it to the entrance of the cave. Then I conned a few mobs (I was invised at the time) and they all scowled.... /OOC and another nice drood answered my plea. He told me to turn around and head back to the ring. He then ported me to Emerald Jungle! Now I knew where I was. He followed me to the zone of Field of Bone and made sure I didn't get ganked. Then it was off the the big tower in the sky that is call Kurn's Tower.

Bound myself in the small city in the zone. Then proceeded to get about 1/2 a level in 30 minutes!

Therefore the fastest way is to get two ports. One to Dreadlands and then one to the Emerald Jungle. Then run to the Field of bone zone.

The only bad part is that I have no way of getting back to qeynos..... Must find some ruby slippers!

You could use the "Return Home" button at the character select screen unless this didn't make it to the progression servers.

Wow! I forgot about the "return home" function. For some reason I was under the impression that it just returned me to my current bind point... Which wouldn't do much good since its just in the abandoned city outside of Kurns.

I will give it a try once I reach 17 or so! I'll have so many bone chips and worthless stuff that I will too bloated to run home anyway....

Lots of good information at eqatlas.

Check out the zone connection maps.

So why couldn't the first druid port you directly to the Emerald Jungle?

I know the EJ port is technically an evacuation spell, but I have always been able to cast it no matter what continent I am on at the time.

Or did they make that change to the EJ port at a later time then the Progression servers are currently? I started pre-Luclin, but by the time my little druid was high enough for these spells it was probably a year later.

Guess its just more of a curiousity question since I always wondered why they made Skyfire and EJ technically "evac" spells and not port spells. Other then the casting time, I have never seen the difference.

Thanks.

Simple.

I asked to be ported to the Dreadlands. I had all the maps laid out because I was going to run like crazy through the uber zones.

Then some other Druid took pity on me and pointed out a quicker (and safer way).

I have never played a caster like a druid, magician, wizzy, or shaman. I am not too familiar with their line of spells. I just rely on their judgement...

Gotcha. I guess I have always wondered why the EJ and Skyfire ports were "evac" spells and not ports. Since you play on the Progression server, I was hoping that there was some "back in the old days" difference between EJ/Skyfire and the rest of the port spells that you had run into that has since been changed.

Congratulations on that run, even going through Emerald Jungle is no piece of cake, especially at that level.

From what I understand the evac line of spells always has a chance of leaving someone behind where as the ports don't. I may be wrong though.

Yes they do, including the druid doing the evacing as I discovered once in RCoD. I still remember that sinking feeling in the pit of my stomach as I watch everyone else's health go dark red, and all of the mobs turn to look at me. Sad thing is I probably zoned faster then the rest of the group. Smiley: mad
