Critical HitsFollow

Two separate questions about Critical Hits:

#1 - What's the highest crit recorded? The highest I think that I've seen personally was just over 1200 by a high-end warrior (I'm disregarding headshots, assassination hits, and finishing strike crits).

#2 - I've heard conflicts on this: When a non-melee character (one that never gets any form of combat fury) equips an item with Cleave I, they have a chance of critting? Shaman, Cleric, Druid, for example. And also, what would be the highest crit recorded for a caster?

As far as question #1. Are you talking about Melee crit's only? I know with my bow I can crit around 2400 using my trueshot disc. I'm sure there are those out there that can crit much higher with their's. Not sure bout melee crit's. I'm still trying to pump up my defense AA's before I dive into alot of meleeing.

Mainly melee crits, yeah... although (still disregarding finishing blow-type crits) I wouldn't mind knowing the highest non-melee, non-spell crit.

I've seen someone crit for like 3k, melee.

and yeah, casters get crits from cleave.

I've seen as high as 5500 area with berserkers with their 2.0. I'm sure far higher is possible.

Would this be counting rogue crit backstabs? Cause if so, I'm pretty sure that's where you'd find your highest numbers. End game rogues are capable of crit backstabs over 7-8k.

my bard has a cleave 3 mask which allows him to crit, so yeah cleave items let a none critting class have a chance to crit.

Right, but Bards get Combat Fury AAs... which is what I was asking about, whether or not int and wis casters get crits from Cleave augs... which I assume they do, after reading various posts around the site.

I have a friend who is a rogue, sure they can get combat fury, she only has like run 1 or 2 though for AA and crits with a cleave 3 aug she has not tons but it happens even though she hasnt gotten the AAs yet.

Assumeing a caster could crit with cleave aug, it would be pretty pointless.

I'm a 70th lvl wizzy, my current high crit is 18,835. Far from high end though. I have seen a screenshot a while back of 21K+ and have heard people talking of 27K+.

When my cleric equips his he can crit while meleeing. It is not very often or for very much, but to answer your question #2...

Yes, if a caster equipes and item with the Cleave effect, you can score melee criticals.
