Morning everyone!

Thu: Nice LDoN at South Ro. Group went to Burning Woods afterwards to get some spells to drop, but the giants wouldn't give us any... Smiley: smile

Fri-Sun: Went to a mineral spring in Hungary. Recreation and good food. No EQ.

Didn't get to play any EQ due to technical issues.

Was a pretty laid back weekend. Stay inside as much as possible due to the sweltering heat.

Over the past month, I have been working on building a Mage Shaman duo. I put them into action over the weekend and every thing went seamless. I stopped hunting in the Field of Bones at level Ten last night. I’m looking forward to the mob encounters lasting longer so the Shaman’s DoTs can work on the mob a bit longer and I can get more then one nuke off from the Mage.

All in all a great combo and great EQ Weekend !!!

Thurs - Started my new fitness regimen and worked out for about 3 hours and went straight to bed.

Fri - Got home from work, played about an hour of tennis, showered and EQ'ed with my SK / Cleric Duo.

Sat - Lazy day, played EQ with the DUO again.

Sun - Moved a bunch of stuff around, Spent enough time in my attic to realize that was not the place to be, finished the chores of the day, showered and off to relax in the EQ world. Got two different Captain's to spawn in Dulak's, only got one drop that I wanted.

With all the hunting in Dulak's...
SK - pinged an AA and almost finished lvl 56
Cleric - got the Sea Worn Ring, dinged 43 and 44 and almost finished 45

and

besides money spent on potions and the like made about 5-7K plat.

Been away for a bit...
Decided to come out of semi-retirement for some old school fun.
I like everything about these progression servers except travel times.
I wanted to try something new, so I made a druid and got her up to level 8.

Of course I'm still too low to do any of that fancy porting stuff yet.
This weekend I had to hoof it.
I've traveled on all three continents.
Erudin, Ak'Anon, Halas, Qeynos, Freeport, Rivervale, Kaladim, and Kethelin have all been visited so far. (I passed throught the Rathe mountains, but didn't feel like visiting New Gutka.) I haven't peeped my head in Felwithe yet, but I'm bound in GFay, so it's right next door. How did people play EQ classic without Tivo? Caught up on recorded programs while my fragile little camo'd half pint crossed the neverending Karanas.

Deputy Tagil grew to hate the sight of my face, I'm sure.

Looking forward to getting a Small Scarab Breastplate *hopefully* tonight.

It seems so odd to be getting excited over stuff like my newly aquired Alligator Earrings and Limestone Rings.

If you see a happless half-sized druid named Trieste on the Sleeper, feel free to send me a tell, and say hello!

Between Thursday and Last night,
Had a root canal. Played with the rogue doing tasks and killing to reach level 31. Upgraded to ravenscale shoulders but will look at the MM to see what else I can upgrade. After having the new weapons procs on my dagger and sword have decided they are worth the money. They go off often enough to help out in a fight. Took Jonwinnie to kill IGs in everfrost, Gods what difference class does make. As a 52 paladin Jonwin can keep 2 IG dead if he has kei and v and i usually have to root once to back off and heal up. The third IG is usually left alone. Jonwinnie the shaman at 52 can easily keep all 3 dead moving from spot to spot, rarely dropping below 65% manna. Shaman also spent all the IG loot money raising alchemy from 156 to 162.
I also worked on Friday and Saturday giving tours on the double decker bus in town, and on Sunday worked at the museum.

Made a trip to Grieg's End with my cleric and mage. Each picked up a quick AA.

Spent some time working on epic for 'zerker. Got the solo parts done, including the drops. Only 3 fights left. It's definately the easiest epic I've done so far. Also, thanks to Ashiwan and Fortis for getting her keyed for Seb, too!

Played mroe EQ this weekend than I have in probably five years on the Sleeper(progression) server.

Between trips to Befallen, aviaks in SK, a five hour marathon group in Upper Guk killing fungus, and wrapping up last night in old-school CT, I went from 17 to 23 almost 24 on my bard. I haven't been this addicted to a game since the first time I played.

I agree with the above poster about being addicted....

My baby necro, Dertnap, dinged 6 and I am starting to get that feeling again. Blackburrow is an awesome place to solo. Just wish I had more time to play....

Birthday Weekend for me:

Turned a whopping 37 on Friday and hubby surprised me with a weekend trip to Dallas! Took some time away from EQ and enjoyed an evening at Medieval Times. WOOHOO!

In the meantime, my guild took out Time again. Took my laptop to the hotel just to check in on them periodically.

Sunday: Fan went out on my laptop so now I will be EQ-less for 2 weeks while I ship it off. Woe is me!!!

Girlfriend started playing EQ so been showing her the ropes here as of late. 1st she made a Froggy Pally named Crazybiotch, but I guess someone didn't like the name and a gm changed it....so she said ***** that and made a Dark Elf Necro instead...atta girl :-)

Friday - Spent some time on my Rogue and dinged 6 times between a great group in OT, and someone that was PL-ing a young toon in DSP but wanted more DPS...sure I think I can swing out lol :-)

Saturday - Raided Innoruuk again with the guild had a great time. This was our 3rd attempt at this, with both the others being failures only to lack of people. Somehow the Broodmother popped on us and was targetable and wiped us as we were medding for Inny's room. So we went back to the guild lobby, got regrouped and aquired some great help in the form of the best monk I've met yet (thanx Dakoda) whos was also duoing a kick *** shammy with him. Went back in and owned him. Was on my main for all this.
Watched my g/f play for awhile after that, throwing in hints where I could.

Sunday - Tried to get a group with the main...no luck. Tried the Rogue....still no luck. Got on the Wizzie and joined some guildies in PoDisease and then did an LDoN after that group split up. Almost 58 now, but trying to figure out which toon to concentrate on...Wiz or Rogue? Or maybe make the main better...who knows...

I infected my computer with a virus that downloaded a boatload of adware/spyware/malware (Spyware Doctor counted 1535 infections)!

I usually turn off my On-Access Scan on my virus protection when I'm gaming, and had forgotten to turn it back on. I downloaded a file off the internet, and as soon as I executed it, I realized that On-Access Scan wasn't on. In a panic, and having a bad feeling I was too late, I turned it on and - POOF! - immediately started getting virus warnings.

Every 5 minutes it would minimize what I was doing and open popups to various web sites, but did helpfully give me a notification icon in my system tray that informed me "Your computer is infected! Click here to download our suite of tools to protect your computer!"

I had the pleasure of dealing with it for an entire day and thinking I had everything cleaned out, only to have some of it keep popping back up the next day. Imagine my joy when I eventually had to format and reinstall my OS!

Needless to say, there was no EQ in my weekend.

I was suppose to have Friday off, but of couse work called and I had to put in a 9hr session. At least it was at home on the laptop, and no, I did no thave EQ running in the background. The IVe that we use at work causes a failure in the EQ initialization process, so both can't run at the same time. I can start EQ first, but then I can only have my trader mule up as the connection is somewhat shakey. So.......that blew all of Friday.

Sat was tied up with baseball practise with both of my kids and doing lots of yard work. Went swimming in my neighbor's pool which was nice as it was 105 out. Helped my neighbor finish his deck railing and proceeded to drink too much beer which made me/us useless for the evening. EQ is fun when playing drunk, but socializing with the neighbors took priority.

Sun...I packed up the entire family and we went out looking at cottages, after about 5yrs of talking about it. Saw 5 places, all of which were interesting. We need another $35K to step up into some really nice properties that are about $310-$325K. That is 10% more but the properties are WAY better. I'm excited, but I'll probably wait until next year when we can get the place we really want. Until then, we'll look at lots more places and build up a good education on what to look for what to ask.

No EQ all weekend, just lots of fun RL.

Fri: Was supposed to get together with the Guild, but ended up with too much RL stuff, so didn't get on at all.

Sat: Last big SCA fighting event before war in August, so I spent the day in armor under +90F blistering sun, but had a great time regardless. Fought for about 5 hours with my unit, had a great dinner and drank too much in the evening.

Sun: Wife sick all day (first trimester), so I got 3-yr-old duty, but that allowed me to play EQ on the laptop a bit, and soloed the Mage up to 56! What a difference a level makes; two new spells, a better damage shield and Muzzle of Mardu make Joboo much more effective! Hope to get some duo time in this week with the Cleric/Mage in Dranik's.

Ah, memories. Sounds like the Second Caidan Rebellion. Or was that the Third? Been so long.
