I have a rogue on Combine. Just wondering what the next gear upgrade for chain wearers is past banded. I think Ornate (silver) might be a slight upgrade in AC but not really worth the expense at the moment. I was told that the Gold and Platinum Ornate chain recipes were not working either (where they added later?) at the moment.

Banded is slightly better than the ringmail stuff that drops in Highpass by the way.

If anyone has a suggestion on what to go for next, please post. Is there anything in Kunark to look forward to?

Isn't there ravenscale or something like that in the old CT? Or it might drop off the leezards around the pyramids.

Ravenscale is an upgrade but I was thinking of something attainable by a group less than level 20. I think Ravenscale is probably the best available on Combine at the moment. I'll check some of the old-cultural too, but likely no one has blue diamonds in abundance...

Edit: Checking some of the top rogues on Combine, looks like Ravenscale is what they are wearing.

Yea Ravenscale woul be the next upgrade. There is also the tunic from lower guk off the ghoul hidden in a wall near frenzy, but that is alot harder to get then ravenscale.

I also think Rogues can where mithril armor from Sol B?

Ravenscale is probably the next real set as opposed to piecemeal upgrades.

Does Blackened Alloy drop in Runnyeye or did they revert it to Blackened Iron? I thought Alloy was a smidge better than Banded. If nothing else, the coif has l33t stats Smiley: grin

I saw Ravenscale being auctioned on Sleeper last night. (My rogue is on combine though). I also checked the top rogues on Combine and they all have the BP plus a few other pieces.

I am wondering if the mobs that drop it are camped 24/7 now. Guess I'll be saving my money...

Dot,

Camp Unrest until you have the blodtained mantle and iirc, you can wear the tunic as well. Under the circumstances, both are decent, and the mantle is excellent.

RS will probably have a limited availability and I hate to say it, but unless you can get drops in Hate, your first decent armor will likely be when Ry'Gorr chain starts dropping in Velious.
