My first time starting the Weekend Update thread. I had a great weekend.

Friday: Attended a successful Grummus raid. Gathered a few folks together afterwards and did the final fight for my beasty's epic. She now is the proud owner of the neon claws!

Saturday: Not too much EQ. Dinged an AA on the cleric. Got my new zerker a level or 2 in Nedaria's Landing.

Sunday: 6 more lvls for the zerker in OT. Exp there is insane! Also got a nice new ring and aug for her from Skyfire. Thanks Chlorr! Ground out an AA on the cleric and the mage.

Fun times!

Good morning everyone!

Had a little EQ spree last week(end), and enjoyed it very much; Went to Paris for the job, and had WLAN in my hotel:

Tue: Direct X update (yes, I know I was late, didn't play for a while). Got EQ to run after 45 minutes of downloading and installing. Korromprok got his pottery up to 122 to be prepared for the 4th Coldain Shawl quest. Went to Runnyeye and Gorge of King Xorbb afterwards to collect the items for the Ancestral Ogre Armor Book (cultural tailoring), but got lost in Runnyeye. It took me nearly an hour to find my way out again Smiley: blush Went to Torgiran afterwards for the black powder (Malaria spell), but it didn't drop. Finally had a look at the new Nektulous zone - the Elusive Wisps task is updating again! Smiley: grin

Wed: Finally achieved some long-set (overdue) goals! Finished the Elusive Wisps task. Finished the Cinder Goblin Skins task. Finished the Traders of Heaven quest. Couldn't get Tanik Greskil to spawn for the 4th Shawl quest. Couldn't get the last of the missing items for the Armor Book to drop. Finally buffed some newbies in Paludal, remembering the days of my late teens/early twenties when I used to hunt in there. Had fun!

Thu: Less success than the days before, but still fun! Still no Tarnik Greskil out there, only Frost Giant Death Squads. Still no black powder in Torgiran. Finally completed the second Slipgear task, although I nearly died when I couldn't find the exit from the Undershore to Corathus Creep (through the waterfall, stupid!). Smiley: lol

Fri: Returned home, no EQ, only sleep.

Sat: Logged in late in the evening, and finally found Tarnik Greskil using the pet method! Smiley: grin Now I gotta get my tailoring up for Coldain Shawl quest #5...

Sun: No EQ, but went swimming.

You're welcome Mandie.

Went on Grummus raid and had lots of fun. Loaded dots on Grummus and blasted away. Impressive fight.
Started grinding to 66 on necro. Joined in on an Unrest instance and it was the most insane time I've had in a long time. Ping ponged a bad pull of undead mobs with another necro--Dukeroger, who made it look quite simple while I was white knuckled and pulling out my hair--and although I don't smoke, I desperately wanted a cigarette after that encounter.
Spent some time deeper in Veksar. Had fun in an area I'd never been to before (chapel, I think).

I wanted to attend the raids on Friday, but I had been planning on moving and was busy as such (though I still haven't moved yet!).

Saturday - busy with packing/moving preparations, didn't play.

Sunday - with the packing mostly done and the actual moving plans up in the air, I spent most of the day playing. Gave my laptop a nice workout in Draniks Scar, where I followed the Murkglider Devourer around for a few hours. It never evolved and when I was AFK someone finally ganked it. At least now I know a bit more about its pathing habits. While in DS (this is my 66 necro) I finished an AA, collected four named drops (all donated to guild bank) and got the Dull Stone of Sorrow. After playing with my augment layout I realized that I could just throw an CHA aug on my -CHA Harvester and I was maxed out on merchant Charisma and don't need an Opal Stein anymore. Yay!
After that I made another AA in HoH then did an Unrest instance - 2 necros, warrior and cleric. I died horribly a few times (triggering the opening script prematurely and not getting out in time, trying to split/mez pull the gazebo) but we had some amazing fights. 6 mobs in one pull, all deaded and we didn't even lose a pet. Got most of another AA in there and finished that off in the HoH graveyard before bed.

I ground a few teeth down to nubs on that fight, make no mistake! Smiley: laugh

bummer I missed that Smiley: lol

went canoeing on Saturday near Berlin. man, my arms ached as if I'd done go-karting for two hours straight... after that, in between 30 peeps (average age around 65?) we watched yermany stomping the swedish soccer team. just watching them old peeps was fun Smiley: grin

Sun: two hours in DS, faction farming with guildies (well, almost farming, as we nearly wipded four times on the way to the camp - twice frikkin blackfall borer and twice darn green/LB adds...). made a yeller and good few skillups on my 59 Pallie. nice :)

Friday: Took my family on board my ship for a day to show them what the Navy does, suitably impressed lots of ooohhh and Aaahhhh, had some fun myself since i could see alot of the stuff that my job prevents me seeing as i am tied up with other tasks.

Came home and Basked in the glory of being "Player of the week" /smugmode on.

Saturday: Spent most of the day with the family since they where visiting but managed to finish off a few tradeskill trophy quests and leveled my shammy to 25 finally.

Sunday: Did a couple of creators, which i find more fun now that the pops are faster it's more challenging now. Finally killed Magnetic Behemoth, been after him for years but always happen to be elsewhere when the raid is on.

Wiped on RZek with him under 50% for the fourth time, silly mistakes cost us, price of being a relaxed raiding guild alliance. I think everyone has now been in on a raid so next week he is going DOWN! /Salute Abmonk for another great raiding evening.

Finally had kittens watching England try thier hardest to make Ecudaor look world class and enjoyed the final of Ultimate fighter, England victorious somewhat more comfortably in that Smiley: grin

Well, after a long weekend of drinking and partying and recovery.....

I didn't get any play time becuase my power was off during the flooding rains in my area.

Might get a chance again sometime this week.

Did various raiding in PoP, finally bought origin AA I keep forgetting to buy, set a personal record for this year on fizzled spell (17 times in a row, previous was 2) and died because of the chain fizzles.

I did have a bad time Sunday. My guild planned a hit on AD in PoV and all we did was to cause PoV to crash and reboot 3 times that night.

Here's a thread on EQ Forum: http://eqforums.station.sony.com/eq/board/message?board.id=Veterans&message.id=247107#M247107

Friday: Decided to head back to ye olde IG camp, for old times sake. Ended up buffing and healing a 50-something monk who probably got exp from most of the giants.

Saturday: Wife was running around in the kitchen at an SCA event, so I was on Bobbin-patrol; very wet and rainy so not good fighting weather anyway. Afterwards we went to an old friends house where he, his wife and us played good old D&D after the kids fell asleep (see, you CAN find more than one woman who does geek things!) Didn't get home until after midnight, so only logged on trader.

Sunday: Rain of biblical proportions knocked out our power in the morning, and when it finally got back on, it was time for a beer tasting. Met RL & OL friends there (babysitter was late, but not too bad). A little playing when we got back, working on rogues AA's. Business trip to Toronto this week, so I doubt if I will be able to be online until I return... <sigh>.

Dinged 64, got few AA's that I spent pointlessly on magic resistance.
Bought Quiescense spell, woo! And got myself broke again, so I cant get kei at pok that easy.

Friday - Dinged my ogre warrior to 50. Not much going on in guild. Turned in early.

Saturday - Spent some time with my 50 druid and 53 shammy in EJ. Jumped into an open Grummus raid later that day on my ranger.

Sunday - Helped an old friend with his final 1.5 shammy fight. We beat the Swarmfiend down with 36 people. It was nice to see him get it finally...especially on his birthday. Fought later in Devistation for skins.

Had a great EQ week and weekend again. Girlfriend bought me the store version of PoR so I am finally able to do the Dain mm's and see what the big deal was about. Warning...I'm not an mm bum, just excited to try the new ones and figured might as well hit lv 70 now.

Tuesday - got the surprise gift of the expansion and gave my g/f a gift of my own...so no EQ ;)

Wednesday - 1st day of being PoR enabled, so got some guildies and friends together and did some Dain's, checked out the new zones (all on my main) and had a great time. Thanx Gegamas for gettin me the 1st seal towards the aug.

Thursday - Went to the bar for awhile after work and shot some pool and released some stress on payday. Came home and jumped into some dain mm's as I'm on my rush for 70 on the main. Having trouble winning rolls on the loot, but learning a lot of how to do these things right...until they nerf em I mean.

Friday - Dain Dain Dain. Basically the same story from Thurs, minus the trip to the bar.

Saturday - Guild event in Draniks aug hunting for toons that needed it. Won a Starflow Stone (Int +4) and gave to guildie Niumudar. I was on my wizzie for this event so we could all get xp. I think I was on for an mm or 2 that night, but logged to play poker online. Did ok, but the g/f had a hell of a weekend on there. 2 tourneys of around 1500 people; 50 something in the 1st and 20th in the next. Gratz Jen.

Sunday - Completed dain's 2 and 3 for the 1st time. Had tried 3 before, but failed at the end. Won the mask from #2 and the shield from #1. Still looking for my seals for the aug. Oh....Ding 69...I love my guild :D

Today - just logged off actually and am 2/3 of a lv from 70.

On Thursday Played a bit on the Rogue dinged 27 and halfway to 28. Then jonwinnie made a quick trip to skys to see if I could solo some of the mobs as a shaman, and got in on a kill or two with the guild.
Friday did the grummus raid with lucky insane and AS. My first POP mob kill.
(Though on courtin I had done 3 trials.)I was knocked unconscious with a dot but regained it due to the HOT that had been cast on our group. Healed myself enough to go on casting Sup heal on mage and the beast lord in group, though eventually the BL died. I even lucked out on the parchment drops as 6 dropped and only 5 folks needed them.
No Eq on Saturday, worked on the bus tour and then the Baltimore SF Society picnic.
On Sunday got home from work and was getting a few kills in sky with the shamaness when a thunder storm rolled in and knocked me out of game.
