Zones you would like to see SoE make/FinishFollow

How about the Looping (or is it lopeing) planes? IF you ever looked at the older map that came with classic, kunark (maybe newer) it shows a area like that somewhere around butcherblock/faydark. I think it actually will be a zone in the next eq2 expansion.

Plane of War is really just about complete, think they should finish it up and have it as just another basic exp zone (no flagging required to go there) etc. IT would even make for a neat zone with maybe PVP events or something of the sort?

I think I'd like to see Qeynos got through a revamp similar (but a bit more thought out) as the rival Freeport did. Really, it's only for nostalgia because I spent a lot of time there in the days when EQ was young, and it would be nice to have a reason to go back again.

As for fixes/improvements, I'd love to see LDoN's to allow any numbers to enter. It's almost impossible to get and LDoN group now (I know, no real reason to, but I like them), and dumbing down the mob count for groups of 3 or less can't be that hard of a programming fix. Smiley: twocents

I think updating the Karanas would be interesting. If they added a reason for people to go there.

Also, I agree on LDONs somewhat, but I'd rather them make them more attractive for groups again. Upping the XP or making the points exchangable for crystals, maybe.

id like to see LDoN return to that xp/loot table it had for the first month or so when it first came out. that would drive groups back to LDoN, and yes i too would like to see it made available for single players with adjusted mob count for them.

It was mentioned by a dev that they'd be redoing the commonlands next most likely and that's really what I'd like to see for nostalgia's sake.

I thought it would be neat if they connected the zone behind the seal in The Hole. It seems that if you kill the Guardian of the Great Seal you should be able to break the seal and enter the kingdom of the Underfoot and Brell-Serilis.

It could be a whole new expansion with Brell himself as the final boss.

I want to go into a big wasp or bee hive - all those wasps and bees in faydark gotta live somewhere, right? It would be easy to do different mob types such as soldier, worker, drone, pupa, royalty types like queen...

Get a wicked hummmmmmmMMmmMMmMmm going on...

The Brell Idea seems cool. I have always wanted them to add on to faydaer (sp?). I would like to be able to do LDONs by myself.

Speaking of a hive, I always wanted to see a Stonehive zone, home to the bixies of Misty Thicket & the Commonlands. It would have been a fun lower level zone or else even a LDoN/MM style zone.

My real dream was seeing the rest of the Warrens unearthed. According to the scrolls you can get in the zone, the Warrens is the remains of Kolbok, a city the kobolds made before Brell Serilis abandoned them. Given that the kobolds were once the only sentient race on Norrath aside from the dragons, you could easily have a mid or high level "Ruins of Lost Kolbok" zone.

In eq2 there is a zone that is a giant bee hive. IT is inside of Rivervale. Has wasps and bixies in it. Its neat looking for sure, about lvl 40 to 42ish mobs.

I agree I always wanted to see a bee hive zone in eq1 though.

The Plane of Underfoot is also a good idea, although I doubt it would get used much if you had to kill the guardian. If they made the Guardian a requirement to enter it would be camped 24/7 for the flag/key/etc.

i vote to fix the Karanas too, it seems this zones are almost about useless if not for the epics. If they could make it abit shorter run or add some task givers would be neat to revisit the best place to kill humie rebels hehehe.

I like all the ideas about revamping zones, Underfoot and the Hive idea made me smile, but most of all, I would like to see the LDoN's get an update to bring people back to them. I loved them with my rogue (in his younger days)but can never find a group for my shammy (now in her 50's and no pack shrew).

As of right now though, I am awaiting the arrival of my new motherboard so I can actually play again. :(

You didn't 'guess' the expansion at all. What happened was the EQ devs were told to make xpac 16 and being at a total loss, googled "expansions SOE should make" and found your post.

I'm thinking you should contact them and ask for a consulting fee, since your idea was used without crediting you at all!

Does anyone remember the the "zone wall" in Oasis to the North where lots of Orcs roamed that looked like part of an unfinished zone? That is gone forever now sadly but that was a place I wanted to see opened up.

When I first walked into Valdeholm I was so excited to be in the new Kael with NPCs, shops, factions to choose from and quest givers and...

It was just a zone to kill things with a few quests. Such a huge waste of space and potential. They need to make Valdeholm like the 3 Velious non-starting cities of Kael, Thurgadin and Skyshrine.

firiona vie and the overthere outposts have been under construction for years! i mean. i understand the houseing market is down right now, but sheesh.. if i was that slow when i was in construction, ide have gotten fired long ago! finish the cities! and.. make an SoD zone for kelethin getting burned down by the orcs, save the city from X waves of orcs, then raid crushbone!!
