Is it possible to start anew in this game?Follow

Everyone seems to be playing EQ2, but I don't think EQ2 really captures the adventurous spirit that EQ1 does (EQ1 has more backstory, and the world seems younger and more unexplored, though I never really got into the game) I wanted to know if it's possible to start a new character in this world, and if so, what server would have the most low levels to help me raise in the ranks?

Faroloth, you utterly fail at forum posting.

However in answer to your question, it is easier now than it ever has been to start again, you can get to lvl 50 in less than a month these days with no power leveling and no twinking.

Besides there is the new progression server coming out at the end of the month that gives everyone a level playing field.

Go look it up on EQlive.

how ever if u want a fresh start the progresion server opens on the 28th, there will now be 2 of them, the combine and the sleeper and they start out with no expansions and the server will unlock them as guilds progress. kinda sets everyone at a equal start for a bit

Its not so much the levels as it is important to choose the right time zone. If you join a sever that has the majority of players in a very different time zone to you, you will never find anyone to group with.

On the other hand, even the most mature server population is riddled with lower level alts of high level players these days, so, its better to find a server with a high population of players from your playing time zone.

e.g. The Rathe has a large West European population and a large Australian/New Zealand population.
