Question about weapon ProcsFollow

I have a weapon that procs a life tap. I added an Aug that procs fire damage.

I am wondering how will this combination work?

Does this double the chance that one or the other proc will occur?

It is possible for both procs to occur on one swing or if one proc occurs will it automatically skip trying the other?

I have never seen both procs happen at the same time, but they both happen so rarely at my current ATT/DEX that my data is statistically meaningless.

it doubles the procrate pretty much - but if one procs, the other can't, so the overall procrate will be the tiniest bit that that represents less than double.

Each hit checks to see if the Weapon proc makes its roll if not checks to see if the Aug makes its roll, then to see if any spell proc makes its roll. Once an item makes the roll damage or benifit is delt with and its done.

On previous posts about procs it was noted there is a lesser chance that the second proc will go off. I think this referred to a lesser chance even if the first proc does not go off.

I'm relatively certain that a proc on your primary weapon has the same chance to go off as a proc aug on your primary weapon, minus that little gap.

Proc rate is about 4% if your dexterity is maxxed with no AA's into Weapon Affinity on your Mainhand.

The proc rate on your offhand is half of your mainhand, so 2%.

The chance to proc from what I have seen with 2 augs in one weapon is about 6%.

Now have a proc'ing weapon in your offhand and another proc aug on it and the combined combo makes it appear that you are proc'ing about every other hit.

So from my math with the chance to do 4 procs, you are at about a 10% of one of them firing.

Throw in Weapon Affinity AA's and you are a proc'ing machine.

Does the actual weapon it self come into play? I've noticed that some weapons proc more then others, or maybe I'm just crazy (A very stong possibility)

If I recall correctly, each weapon does have a slightly different procrate. I've noticed this as well between my own weapons. Some are more obvious than others though.

Around the time of PoP if I remember correctly a dev stated there were only 2 weapons in game that had a different proc modifier on them, and they did not say which ones.

Hundreds of proc'ing weapons have entered the game since then so the % may have changed slightly.

If anything I would say the newer weapons do proc more, because the amount of damage on procs has actually gone down over past expansions. So the more frequent proc'ing makes up for the smaller damage procs.

But its all just a guess at this point.

this is not true.

This did not sound true either, but I will trust Czae's opinion over my own on most things.

Edit: The post Czae was quoting I mean.
