I zoned into Nek today and WOW! What a beautiful job they did on this zone. Hope this is the way of the future.

I am against the freeport change. They'll have to change it back eventually.

I didn't like the FP change either.

Yea, me either... I mean sure it reflects what it really is, its a huge trading city, or is supposed to be, but the old version of FP is much better! I say if you're going to revamp just change the texture and such, and leave the layout the same! dont wanna hafta memorize the new layout of old zones!

The new layout is crap, too. It looks on the map like you can get to anywhere easily but there's only like one or two entrances to anyplace and it's just a pain in the *** to navigate. I hate it.

Smiley: inlove Newbie log is back where it belongs.

It's nice to have the old layout back and i agree that ALL the old (pre-Luclin) zones should be upgraded and for the love of god change that Gaurds while your at it!!!

I was disgusted to walk around the shiney new Nek to find Original game Gaurds stood around looking bloody terrible.

I hope not.

The reason some people hang around in old zones is their computer can't handle/has serious trouble with the new zones.

That would take away any zones you can run with a not so good computer.

I run EQ on a 2 year old P4 2.3Mhz with 512meg ram on Dial up, i get no lag outside of PoK/Bazaar once i have been in a zone 20 seconds, so i'm sorry that is just utter rubbish, if you can't handle Luclin+ graphics you need a new computer period as you would not be able to do much more than word processing.

I also hate the freeport change. I think they should have just left the basic layout the same. I don't want to have to learn old zones again. That is why I like the new nek so well. Seems like the new nek is basically like the old one just slightly altered for dodh.

I also agree they should update ALL of the old world models. When luclin was released I remember they promised that every npc/model in the game would be upgraded. I still see old gnolls, guards, orcs (in some zones new orcs, but plenty have old ones). Also alot of your merchants are still using the old graphics. Beetles are still unchanged, undead/live frogloks are the same *IE lguk/upper guk*.

I wish they would change freeport so that is was the same basic layout as before. The only thing I do like about new freeport is the docks look really nice.
