Who else notices they get interrupted ALOT more now?Follow

IT has completely screwed up the way I play the game. As a person without AA's you can't hardly cast while being attacked by a mob thanks to the recent HIDDEN nerf in the last patch.

Anybody else noticing this? I know alot of us was upset last night in general chat over it. Love how SOE doesn't advertise things like this.

Ran into a see invis mob twice in MPG last night died both times. The mob didn't cast anything ever or bash according to the logs and I was interupted 9 times in a row trying to FD, 4 times once and 5 the other. In the logs the interupting was preceeded and followed by so-and-so swings at you and misses and still was interupted. The problem is as I see it since you have to make a saving throw each time now you get hit it's like saying that flipping a coin is a 50-50 chance. While this is true about the coin in a single flip and it seems that your chances are pretty good, try to flip a coin 4+ times and have the same side come up all the same, now 8 times. It's swings * mobs = saving throws so the chances of channeling through strikes dwindles significantly as the number of mobs increases to the point of channeling skill irrelevance.

I brought my wife's cleric in last night to Virtue our group and we got a serious overpull. I used her to heal and she almost died from green mobs to her due to being interrupted. I am not used to playing a cleric but could not believe what I was seeing. My son who has a cleric said it was not normal now I know why.

The first thing I noticed when I was playing was "My channeling just got f'ucked."

They changed the channeling system with this patch. It was, in fact, broken before and they fixed that. Many threads about it at EQlive. Basically prepatch someone with no channeling AAs would almost always channel, while someone with many Channeling AAs would actually have less of a chance of a successful channel.

Interesting... Sounds like they overfixed it.
SOE is "good" at "fixing" things.

Like if I needed a hitman to fix something for me, I would hire EQ.

The problem would be shot, beatten, kicked, stabbed, bleached, torn, bruised, noogied, teased, poisoned, and ran through a blender.

Then fed to wild animals, made into mortar, covered up, dug up, burnt, thrown over a bridge, and left in the path of Hawaiian lava.

Yes, it would be fixed good. There would be nothing left of it.
It would never be mistaken for it's former self.
It would never be heard of again.

And they would call it... "Nerfed."

I can understand them wanting to adjust this, but I don't ever remember being interrupted this much before the bug (AK 5 years ago when I played older accounts). I mean seriously I can't hardly get Feign Death off now with my 44 necromancer! I was soloing 2 and 3 blues at a time and yesterday I died because I could not for my life get a lifetap, dot, snare, gate, etc because every freakin hit was interrupting me! Of course I see mobs are not changed they can still get beat on by a whole group and unless u bash or stun they can cast. Last time I checked mobs didn't have channeling AA's at lvl 40!

I had Oaken Guard interrupted 3 times in a row earlier today. I can recall that even when I was cornering a mob I was getting interrupted. They need to change it back and just fix the AAs so that they give an even higher chance. This really is ridiculous and dumb. It's gotta suck even worse for knight classes.

Rashere said they are temporarily going to change it back pre patch. The change didnt come out quite the way they wanted.
Actually sounds like they want to revamp the entire interupt system instead of tweaking the old one.

they "fixed" it so that you get interrupted on spells -- temporarily you understand. Just until they can fix it again.

AND

they "fixed" the chat channels so they do work either. To use the Mail System that didn't work for months.


Anything else "fixed" ?
What a joke.

Neither of these was broken, but I guess Sony never heard that you dont "fix" things that ain't broke.

Interupt WAS broken. Its just the fix was not quite the fix they thought.

Glad I'm not the only one upset with this. I don't mind getting interrupted more often, but I sure as hell do mind getting interrupted every freaking time, especially with Channeling maxed and regardless of AA's!

I have to call BS on this one.
Devs claim that the present BROKEN state is actually working like it *used* to?
I've been playing a few years and have NEVER been interrupted like that.
The way channeling is (not) working right now is something that surprises players.
Surprising because it's totally different than it EVER was.
Channeling NEVER acted like this, don't try and claim that it did, that's feeble.

And while I'm ranting, it would be cool if, in the patch message, we were informed
as to what had been changed.
M'shas AE rampage now? Not in patch notes, or anything related to M'shas or AE rampage so what the heck was tweaked that screwed them up?
That's the kind of info I'd like in the patch message.

And the cretins still haven't fixed the drop rate of hides and teeth for half-elf cultural armor, yet managed to find time to itemize *hot-zone* drops, the jerks.
No one besides the Paludal crowd gives a hoot about hot-zones.
Like we need more twink drops ffs, I'd just like to be able to do a single combine to say I did the cultural armor quest instead of looking at unused patterns.
