Just go to Everquest.com and download the trilogy free by logging into your old account and downloading it or making a new one for free.

If you're going to buy them, just go to the store. You get can get all the expansions except for the last one in one package for $20. And it would be alot faster than trying to hook up with someone over a gaming website.

I can tell you there is a very good chance your charactors are there. I had a paladin that I closed out way back around the time velious came out. I have no clue what the username password are because I had assumed Id never play eq1 again *foolish on my part huh?*.

Anyways awhile back SOE had that charactor search for free and I was able to look that toon up and he was there with the gear I had left on him (full set of guardian gear from Skyshrine lol).

Anyways sounds like the best thing you could do is buy everquest titanium. I don't know what expansions you have, but seriously the way the game has evolved if you just have the trilogy your going to be very limited to what you can do even as a newbie. $20 will catch you up to everybody expansion wise plus titanium includes oodles of free in-game items includeing a 8 slot Weight reduction bag (which can be upgraded to 10 by doing a simple 5 minute quest), 10 complete heal potions, 10 complete mana potions, crappy range items with crap stats from gates and Omens, and last and certainly not least a clockwork mount (basically like a horse only its a clockwork and runs slow). Oh you also get a free monster shroud, but frankly its worthless and chances are you don't know what a monster shroud is.

Just out of curiousity what class level is your highest toon, and what was the last expansion u bought?

My highest char is a 66 bard on bertox server, the only expansions i DONT have are Dragons of norrath, dephts of darkhollow, and prophecy of ro, the only real reason im coming back to everquest is so i can play on the combine server, i want to play like it was when i first started everquest, and i might play my bard and level him up but they keep coming out with new expansions and stuff and ive been out of the game so long i dont know, but i want to go back to a time where people helped each other in everquest and were friends and didnt cheat and twink and all that stuff. i only have my laptop with me in san fran, my desktop is back in arizona with my everquest CDS thats why i wanted to get the trilogy expansion cuz then my laptop wouldnt be over ran with stuff it couldnt handle, its a fairly new laptop and im sure i can proably play up to omens of war with it but i only need everquest classic for the new server.

you can also download just the patcher, and use that to download EQ. That tends to work much better than trying to download Trilogy.

Oh hmm this changes everything. I would still say Titanium would be a good deal if you wanted to play live since it would give you DON and DODH. DON is a great expansion 65+ to get groups in etc.

I don't know of anywhere you can get eq1 classic. I have seen some newb ebay sellers selling older cd's, but by the time you pay them and their outrageous shipping costs your up there with the cost of titanium.

Another problem with titanium is it will force you to install everything. I am pretty sure it forces you to disable all the luclin + graphics on combine server, it basically tells your account on that server you don't have anything past classic enabled.

I used to have the Kunark cd and velious cd, but about a year ago I bought platinum *which is similar to titanium only it has a couple less expansions* Then I bought titanium a few months ago. I am pretty sure I tossed all the old cd's away. I do know my friend still has all of his somewhere though, but considering we are in Ohio that probably doens't help you much anyways.

Alla has a link on the main page for buying the titanium...

Titanium from EB Games

I agree with above, though... just download the patcher and run it.

download patcher

thanks for the link to patcher, im downloading the files now, will it still play just buy downloading the files? with out install?
#13 Jun 08 2006 at 12:22 PM Rating: Good
Yes. EQ does not NEED to be installed....there are no entries into the registry. You can back up your entire EQ directory and, if you get a new PC or need to rebuild, just copy it back down and it will work just fine (some graphics settings may need to be adjusted).

you don't remember original EQ, do you?

most people have plenty of friends still, and cheating and twinking was common w/ orig eq...

Sorry to bump an old thread but I had a quick question regarding EQ Titanium. A friend is starting up again and he has all expansions up to OoW. It would be cheaper for him to buy Titanium to get DoN and DoD but the thing we were wondering about is how do you register the expansions when he only needs the two? Does he just use the CD key that he gets with Titanium to register the expansions on his existing account or does each expansion on titanium come with its own key? Hopefully this makes sense.

Thanks.
#18 Jun 21 2006 at 11:39 AM Rating: Decent
Yes, that is exactly right. He uses the CD key from titanium with his existing account and it promotes that account to the new status, ignoring the fact that some of the expansions given in the new CD key already are allowed on the existing account. I did it that way with my second account back when EQ Platinum was out before Titanium was introduced.
