SOE CS is absolutely, totally, completely, utterly WORTHLESSFollow

So, besides the hassle they continue to give me about changing my billing information we have this fun going on:

So, the account with Phys rolls over first. He has the 5th year deal, the CC is still active, it's the WRONG CC, not the one I want to use, but still a valid CC, rolls over for $99 automatically, np. After the first of the next month, the paid time on his account updates automatically, ding, he gets his next Veteran Reward AA.

Then the account with Fallonn hits his renewal, he has the 5th year deal, it's the same CC which is still active, and it rolls over for $99 automatically, so far so good. I wait with baited breath for the first of the next month (renewal was on the 4th of the month, sigh) and BOOM, no update on the paid time, no next Veteran Reward AA.

So, I petition online and they tell me they can't help me because they can't research my subscription time. I have to call in.

So, I call in and they tell me I have 5 and a half years, np. Well, I ask them to redo the math because I have 5 years and over 9 months paid time on that account, which is well over a half year. So OK, they clear that up. I ask them to fix my Vet AA accordingly, and THEY TELL ME I HAVE TO PETITION ON LINE!

What morons.

So, after I carefully and politely explain I had already done so and the online people directed me to call, they say - Oh, well, we will put a note on your account, so when you petition they will know you have enough time.

So, I go back to my online petition AND THEY HAVE CLOSED IT!

So, I have to delete the old petition with all the information on it, and create a NEW one. Which is still pending.

If their software can't handle it automatically, they simply can't handle it, and that goes for ANYTHING.

Why, oh why, are we still giving these people money.

Sounds like your issue was addressed fine for the most part. Yes, a little bit of leg work, but unless your petition that is pending has issues, I really dont see a problem here....

I have never had any luck with SOE customer service, seriously they are the worst. Half of your GM's don't even know the game anymore, and 9 times out of 10 petitions are answered with a canned answer that has nothing to do with the problem you are having.

Nice to think over the years they ahve increased the fee from 9.99 to 14.99 yet they offer you less and less. When the game first came out if you waited over 1 hour for a GM people was complaining. And assumeing it was a game bug they pretty much took care of you. Now the classic answer is "Consult your fellow players for help" My fellow players can't help me with technical problems.

Then maybe you aren’t reading the same post that I am. I am being led from pillar to post, run back and forth and back again, chasing the wild goose. If at the end of this rat’s maze they are making me run through I actually get the Veteran Awards AA that I am, and have been for over a month, due, that would be real nice. If it goes as most of my dealings with them, like the recent $99 deal debaucle, they will continue to follow the medical insurance business model, deny, deny, deny. Eventually the patient dies and you save a lot of money not having to pay the medical bills for them.

If this actually WAS a service oriented organization, the online CS would have the ability to look up subscription times so that they could resolve Vet AA problems. It’s a common concern. So common it has it’s own category in petitions. They would have the ability to investigate and solve all common concerns. Instead, the only thing they do is respond with a canned boilerplate saying no to anything you need help with. The system is designed to run you ragged until you give up and leave them alone.

That's the exact description I used when I quit.

It's funny, if we all weren't addicts they could not assume such an attitude and survive.

Have you ever noticed there are just two industries that call their clients "users"?

I had a similar thing happen. Not that steamed about it since I figured any service I got was a bonus.

Petion in game for my Vet awards due. In-game had me at 3.3 years, station had me at 4.2 years.

Petition GM says call CSR have him leave a note.

I call CSR and he puts a note on my account.

Petition in-game telling them about the note.
They respond everything is hunky dory.

Everything is not hunky dory...No vet awards yet.

Second petition yields the result I was looking for, updated account.

I'm in both of the same boats. My vet aa's have been screwed up for over a year. ( played time 4 years + acount time shows 3+ and I only have 2 vet rewards....I lost count of how many petitions and calls I have made on this) Also I am in the boat with many others getting screwed on the $99 renewal. In a weel or 2 my last account that was on the $99 plan expires. At that point I may just give up and move on to another MMO. The CS at SOE is the worst I have ever encountered. I was looking forward to Vanuguard but will NOT give my money to SOE again.

No, if I quit, you cannot have my stuff.

My account would get you my billing address. Actually, every credit card billing address that ever paid for an account is accessible by anyone with a password. It's in the history.

So.. no.

And the only items I have that are No Trade are my Epics. Felicite, Cachet and Aumnyder (and Isladar and Pixel) are on FV. I bought the Kess robe with spell research and DoDH reward selling profits, bay bee!
