Starting over - looking for a guildFollow

I know you probably hate returning threads by now, but there isn't really any other good place to ask this. I'm coming back to EQ after a long break, and I'd like to start fresh on a new server. I don't really care what server, but what I would like is a nice family/friendly casual guild that I can join. Something with a good amount of people to group with of all levels, espeically starting out. Raiding later on would be nice but completely optional. I'd rather join a guild that doesn't raid at all but helps each other out and has fun together, instead of grinding all the time. I live on the east coast, but I usually play later in the evening. So, anyone out there have a friendly & casual but fairly busy guild that I can join?

From what I've noticed, there's at least a dozen of these on every server. If you pick a server due to other criteria you will still have no trouble finding a family guild like this.

I know there are a lot, but I was hoping for a handy invite rather than trial and error and pok spamming for one.

Well there are the looking for guild boards in the Guild Lobby. I can understand not wanting to spam the PoK with interest so you can always pick a server and have a look at those. I don't gather there's a lot of people wandering around on the forums ready for this sort of thing.

Alright. In that case, what servers have a good sized population nowadays? So I know where to start.

Posters here have a guild on Povar called Aude Sapere. We're a more or less casual guild although do team up with others to raid. There are characters of all levels in the guild, since we're all alt-happy.

if you just mess around for a month on june 28th progressions server comes out wich will progress as raid mobs are defeated and unlock expansions, will put you on even grounds with most players, since there is no trasfer and you will start at level 1.

edit*

server is called combine, or The combine server... :)

There definitely are alot of people from these boards playing on Povar. A few people around here are old school Povar, and several of us were on Morden Rasp; when they merged there was suddenly a kind of poster majority on that server.

I have a follow up question.. How do I get the old UI back? The black one.. when they released the new UI before you just needed to rename your old UI folder, but with a fresh install I don't have it available. Is it for download anywhere?

EDIT: Nevermind, found it on EQInterface.
