19" displayable area, Dell flat screen jumbo-sized 9000 pound monitor. Got it from a college kid with too much money, and not enough space in his dorm for $50. 3 months old. I'm a happy man.

And apparently, I'm being quoted, now.

Just out of curiosity, why does my skill window in EQ show the skill Hand to Hand if there are no hand to hand weapons that I can equip?

So you can punch stuff.

Edited for clarity.

I was using a 21" Dell, which is really a Sony Trinitron, flat screen CRT. I had this since day one, which was June 2002. I loved it, espically on max resolution. Lots of screen real estate. It died two months ago; I mourned its death by getting very drunk. So now that money is tight, I have a 19" LCD.

I would love a 24" LCD, but you would need a top-end video card to make it dance properly; otherwise whats the purpose? That is $900 for the monitor and another $600 for the card. Kinda steep for me right now. I'll wait.

27 inch Oleva, its like playing in an Imax theatre.

You can see little details that you would never see on a 19 inch screen.

LCD refresh times are so slow in and pixelation is increased in lcd monitors. I can run 1900 x 1200 on my crt and only 1280 x 1024 on my lcds. the color is more defined on crt, it only takes up more space. Somethings are meant to be big, video cards and monitors are two of them.

Acer 24" widescreen, play at 1920x1200. My wife and i both have one.

btw, I get seasick now when i have floatie buffs, so does my wife, there is such a thing as overkill.

BTW, you can get this monitor for less than the $900 the other poster said, i bought it online for $740.00.

My Dad has a Sharp 1620 which is a 16" TFT. And my neighbor has an Eizo 16" TFT as well, so they do exist! Myself, a 19" LCD (IIyama).

I sincerely feel for anyone still using a CRT monitor. Once you upgrade to LCD, you'll know why I feel it's like a cable/DSL ISP...you can't go back to 56k, once you've had either of the two.

Are you kidding, or visually impaired? The only things LCDs have on CRTs is size, energy efficiency, and "c00ln355" factor. CRTs are still superior in resolution, DPI, refresh rate, color accuracy, color depth, viewing angle... you know, all the things that actually matter. No doubt LCD technology will eventually replace the CRT but it is far from equal yet. Take a look at a high quality CRT side by side with an LCD and you will see what I mean. Sometimes newer isn't automatically better.
