Texture MemoryFollow

#1 May 26 2006 at 3:42 PM Rating: Good
I'm running WinEQ and boxing 2 toons.
No Luclin Models on either toon.

I have:
Athalon 64 3300+
1.5 MB RAM
Ratheon 9600 128 MB Ram

Once in a while, I get a "Low Texture Memory" error... shortly thereafter the game crashes.

1) What is this?
2) Can I turn something down/off to fix it?

its your week vid card.

turn down EVERYTHING on the 2nd account. the account you dont use as often to control the duo.

also make sure to turn off sound on the 2nd account and all enviroment/game sound on the main account.

those 2 things should help some. a better vid card will make a world of differance as you have plenty of system ram and more then enough power in your CPU.

You didn't mention HD space either, perhaps texture chache is stored there and you are out of space? The only other problem I can think of is that WinEQ has some conflicts with EQ since they changed the mouse cursor. Try loading both accounts without WinEQ (but you may wish to create a second EQ file to reduce lag).

On highest graphics settings your AMD 3.3k 1536 ram 128 radeon computer should have no problems unless you have a crappy little 10 Gb Hard drive...

One of my systems; P4 HT 512 Ram 40Gb Hd and a 128 radeon. This one can handle 2 boxing EQ on one computer without using WinEQ or a secondary directory. Second account suffers lag when minimized, but that's just a directory issue. I always have high / full graphics and sound turned *on*.
