How do Base Statistic affect you when you make a level?Follow

I have seen things mentioned in posts making references as to how each point of staminal will affect your Hit Points each time you make a level. I am wondering if anyone has figured out how your base statistics ( Str, Dex, Sta, etc) affect your character each level. It would be great to have a compiled list of the effects.

Being a pure Melee class char,I am just about to make level 51, and am trying to decide if it will be worth it to complete all of the Stamina increasing AAs before making lvl 52 in order to maximize my hits. The question can apply to spell chuckers for Int/Wis.

Thanks

IMO

you would get more bang for your buck to get the natural durability AA's if your concerned about your HP. those would give you more HP overall than if you got the STA AA (just like a caster should get spell casting mastery soon as possible). plus, sta will max easy enough with buffs and gear. "base" sta realy only IMO helps if your nekid and buffless! at lvl 51, you will "hopefully" start raiding soon, and you will pass your sta cap with ease. at that point you would be going for your plainer power AA to raise your cap.

so, don't worry about your base sta, later, like most, you will regret spending those AA on sta, just like i regret spending aa on wisdom. it was a total waste. get your natural durability, and the avoidance and mitigation aa first. it will help you with tanking the most.

you don't suffer any lasting effects if you level under your stamina cap. Getting 10 extra stamina at 52 will give you as much hp as if you had gotten that stamina and 51 then dinged.

agree...
but, IMO is wasted aa for minmal improvment. the defensive AA are far better purchases.

so, it is around 2 hp per sta. so you get the first 5 ranks....= 10 hp. you get natural durability and it is IIRC around 150 hp. then the additional mitigation and evase AA make those 5 lvls of STA just wasted aa.

altho, i am not a warrior :-)

but i do wish, i had never purchased the wisdom aa that i did. i purchased the sta AA long after i got other criticle aa done. but even as a cleric i knew that getting hit less, and when hit, get hit not as hard were far better than the few hp gained from the sta aa.

Ah Keyera, one problem, at 51 he won't have access to any of that. Most of your suggestions are archtype (and 55) not general.

yes he does, spend first 6 aa in general. then arch are available. the one that i forget what lv; they are available are the "cap" increase AA

3 in run 3, others...i guess in STA..but i would recomend regen or the one makes ya eat less before i would recomend getting STA.

once 6 aa are spent in general, natural durability and the first ranks of defensive aa are available.

and once again, they will help tanking WAY more than a few points in STA ever will ;-P

2 hp/sta is a bit low, as a druid i got 4-5 hp/sta, my pally even better.

Those first few aa's you have to spend in order to get to the archetype shopping list that has the natural durability stuff, will take as long to accumulate as 5 or 6 levels though so it is really a wash in how you go after it.

Hey Keyera, alwayslost, what part of "He's only 51!" are you missing? Archtype AAs can't be picked until 55...

hey Lyratrix,

my mistake, no need to be an *** about it eh?

my advice then, burn 3 for run3, very usefull, then get to lvl 55, burn 3 more, best spot is regen or lower food consumption. then if you still want to do more AA, get the first ranks of your tanking AA.

reguardless, STA AA is worthless IMO (i did get some way down the line to max out my STA, but i got all of the "cleric" nessesary ones first ;-P).

FYI

General, only need to be level 51 to train an ability of this category, in any order.

Archetype, must be level 55, and have 6 AA points trained in any of the General abilities, to be able to train an Archetype ability.

Class, must be level 59, and have 12 AA points trained in any of the Archetype abilities, to be able to train a Class ability. Since Archetype abilities have their own requirement, there is a minimum of 18 AA to train, 6 in General and 12 in Archetype, before access to Class abilities.

Level-restricted, only needs to be level 61 (for PoP) or 66 (for OoW) to train an ability of this category. However many have additional requirements. Several abilities introduced with GoD fall into this category. Also, DoN abilities obtained along the progressive quest of this expansion require the toon to be level 65 or higher.

Keyera, hmmmm, maybe I should have asked if a level 51 could purchase those archtype AAs....

Thanks for your responses.

I have set my exp percentages to 60/40 (Aexp/exp) so that when I hit level 55 I will have my 6 AAs.

I plan on spending them on speed upgrades and First Aid so I can get Critical mend. I have a Fungus cloak so the regeneration wouldn't have that big of an impact.

I am glad that I didnt waste points/time on stamina, I had heard that each point of stamina at lvl 50+ could result in as many as 10 hits/level, which could have given 1900 hits if true by lvl 70. But apparently that is not the case.

daslamb, splitting exp will only take longer to reach both goals.
Play how you want, but it is best to go only one way.
I made the choice to split exp on the paladin when he hit 52,and my first aa was a long time coming.
There is a reason most folks get run 3 and then go back to exp instead of AA until in the 60s, But as I said play it your way.
