Dain MM augFollow

I keep hearing about this aug being great.. What is it called and what are the MMs. And whatever more usefull info you can give the more happy I will get ;P

Yes click on Monster Missions --- The Master List started by SuiG.. go to page 3 and scroll down untill you see Sir Rodth's Cheshire cat picture. That is where you will find your answers.

Wow, ok your "here" link kicks the crud out of anything that has been mentioned so far on allah .. two thumbs up!!
Could you disect the rest of the Monster Missions --- The Master list and add a "here" link for them as well ..
lol .. I kid arround to much .. thank you for the link ..
But seriously .. if its not too much trubble there are only 47 more MM's to do ..

Here is the 65+ maxed out Aug for the Dain MM arc also below. You can search lucy for "historical seal" to see the other levels of the aug.

I agree the link is great!

I have done these so many times it is scary, not so much grinding as to help others who want to acquire the aug. Seems each time the strats are different. I will say until last night Dain 3 gave me heartburn, but I was with a master who has this one down to a science.

Leave the Dain at the commanding general to give commands. Rest of group head to wizzie spires and load aas etc after you get there. Have dain send army (one or two units) immediately out to location (it is preset so they know where to go and it will take a while for short legs to get there). Wait at wizzie spires, dwarf army will come from the west and Kromzek's will come from the east. Have MA tag named and all assist MA. Clerics keep heal on MA, off tanks spotters for cleric aggro. Once this wave is complete move to top of hill above wizzie spires to the south a little as Kromzek's again will come in directly east of wizzie spires. Meanwhile Dain is sending more units for second wave. Rinse repeat until all waves are finished.

(edit)One thing do not have MA tag named until army has engaged, have him targeted but do not run in until they have engaged each other. They will stand around facing each other for a bit but will engage themselves.

If everyone dies on fourth wave send one back to spires to see how army is holding out, the rest remain with Dain because if the army wipes they are coming for the Dain and this is your last stand. The beauty of this strat to me was time and energy. Going to the wizzie spires to fight at spawn point saves an enormous amount to time waiting for Kromzek's to come to army, and our fearless leader last night says they are weaker at spawn point. Not sure that is so but they sure went down much faster. 30 minutes on this one last night...to me that was a huge difference in time it has been taking to complete it.

(edit) Also do not use f8 to target mobs in Dain three, always use assist. F8 will likely cause you to target a dwarf and they will then proceed to kill you. Once you pop you no longer have dwarf aggro but the time kill is just not necessary. Assist, assist, assist.

Two things to me are important, on Dain one let Dain tank it and all assist. If you do this with five in group, drop the rogue not a cleric. Easy enough, 20-30 minutes max.

Dain two, stop runners at all costs. Work your way down to named with a puller to safe camps. At the named pull all mobs inside out to kill before tagging the named. Do not take group inside building. Tag named and kill him in the courtyard just this side of the bridge. Again all assist Dain.


These are fun imo, and a nice grind even if you have already gotten the parts of the aug. A nice aug also drops in Dain two, 60 hp if I remember right. Nice shield in Dain one, and nice caster mask in Dain three. It doesn't take long with a good group to grind these enough to get everyone in the group all parts of the aug.
