What would you say would make the best team to do this ( assuming 1 is a paladin of course ).. I have gotten thru 19 of the 41 waves so far..

My Idea:

Pally (me): MT, root, group heals
Shadow Knight: 2nd tank, Snaring
Bard: Kiting, Mezzing, Mana song between waves
Cleric: Main healer
Shammy: Slow, back up healer, DPS enhancer
Ranger: DPS, root, 2nd snarer, 2nd kiter

.. Not enough DPS?? Change bard to enchanter?? Change SHD to warrior??

I'd swap out the SK for a monk to offtank -and- DPS and you could probably stick just about anything in there for bard or ranger since you're gonna be stuck kiting half the mobs anyways (and they'll be unsnarable/unmezzable most of the time).

Do the MOBs in this arena summon?

the key to this trials is the pulling. realy any group can do it if it is done right.

camp the group OUT of the arena. down near the ZI to the devistation (if wasn't instanted). then you have someone up top kiting. then you just peel the mobs off one at a time.

if it is one of the named that spawn an add every certain %, have the person up top call it. when an add spawns, stop dps on the named (or you will get even more adds) bring one down at a time and dps it, then the next add. after adds are dead, dps named again. rinse and repeat till all are dead.

doing it this way makes this trivial.

I did 1 - 38 the other day with
War
Pal
Clr
Mag
Nec
Enc

32 was a PITA other than that went smooth.

My biggest suggestion is, if you use the guides take the mezzable/unmezzable, snareable/unsnareable, rootable/unrootable etc with a grain of salt.

It looks to me that all of those are random each time. Also seems every wave it is random if they are undead or not.

I have done to wave 41 a few times now (well from 32 to 41 several times helping groups anyway), and several combinations have worked fine. The one constant is solid kiting (I'm a ranger, and have taken this role in groups I have done it with) - any class that can generate decent aggro at range without doing damage should be fine at this - if they can also take the odd hit when things warp so much the better. In this role a ranger or bard is very solid, I would think a paladin would also work well if you can spare them from tanking duties, and a well played enchanter or maybe wizard (they need to avoid being hit a bit more is all) should work.

Apart from that I have done this with very healing oriented groups (2 clerics), multi-tank groups that did a lot more OTing, and DPS oriented groups with a single healer and single tank (these work best for speed reasons). The first time we did it was with 2 shaman healing (no cleric or druid) - basically everything is singles (or at worst one semi-nasty MOB and one easy one at once) if the kiter knows what they are doing.

i guess i should of posted that if you have koshling, this task is trivial.

;-P

it was actualy boring when he was kiting the stuff, as all the adds were taken care of ;-)

we just stay below and kill what is peeled off.
