Do you mena items you can solo for and get for him? To be honest there isn't alot you can get at 35 for him. Even some of the cheapest gear in the game drops from lvl 40+ mobs.

I can think of some really junk items such as dervish cuttroat rings (1 ac 2 dex) from north ro. There is the 2 ac earring that drops in crushbone.

I am also thinking of the vampires in Luclin. I forget what level they are, but you MIGHT be able to take them? They drop coterie armor which I want to say is useable by necros (I could be wrong though). Also I could be wrong about the vampires level it could be 40+.

Sorry I can't be any more help. To be honest your better off just buying him some cheap gear in bazaar. Good news is with a caster you can buy alot of pretty nice items for not alot of money. 1500PP can get you near 200 INT (depending on race) 750pp can get you geared reasonably well.

If you haven't done them there is some armor quests in POK from a vahshir near the soulbinder that reward well. HE offers decent items such as rings, ears, cloak etc etc. IF you haven't done them yet you should fly through tose quests at lvl 35, they are mainly just kill X mobs in certain lvl 15ish zones.

that sums things up very well. one thing you might want to consider is going Iksar vs any other race. yes Iksar have an XP penalty, but post 60 their hp regen is godly for a necro. and even their normal HP regen is a godsend for a necro.

you may have to spend more coin getting your INT over 200, but your natural AC and defence bonus will help with that, plus you start with the highest STA of any necro race out there. yes STA is just about as important as INT for a necro as more HP = more mana. so faster HP regen = faster mana regen.

FYI you will not get a lot of bonus out of your INT gear until 30s or so. sub 30s go for + mana gear and +HP/STA over INT.

if you have 150 INT you will be a god sub 30s as long as you have enough + mana and + STA/HP gear. a good weapon, nice AC, and a good focus item for your pet will go a long ways to helping.

IIRC the focus items no longer determin the level of your pet, but they have some nice stats and other afects now. IIRC all pets are now summoned at the max level for their spell.

Just off the top of my head, you can cheaply buy a Blackend Alloy medallion, ac 5 wisdom and intel plus 6 and manna reduction II on it.
Kobold hide boots are also common in bazaar and dont cost a lot.

Then there are the starting armor quests. )

To earn money as a youngin go kill spiderlings and polar bear cubs in EF. Spiderling silks easily sells for 10 or more on the two servers I play on. Then go to bazaar and start looking.

Just junk the Necro up. Get whatever +mana items you can find and get your hands on to. Look for some focuses, even if they're low level.. I'd aim for level 2 or 3 focuses, especially Mana Pres and DoT-related focuses. Blackened Alloy Medalion (sp?), or the one I always confuse it with, has a good low-level focus.

In your low levels, all the game's really good for, to me, is getting up to the high levels quickly. Just think of what will help you slaughter the easy trash in the low end of the game most efficiently. Keeping your mana up with +mana, cheaper +int items, and loading out with focuses will generally cover this.
