I think I would start a new character and try to find a good family guild that will help you. Family guilds are who teaches the game generally, they are who will come closest to working with returning newbies and true newbies. Once you get the feel of it again, then pull your 50ish toons back into the game and work on growing them up. Start a low level group in the tutorial and make friends with people. Many in the tutorial are building alts and have guilds so it would be easy enough to find a guild there. I would also pick up my reading of threads for general info. Best of luck!

Seamys advice with getting into family type guild is very good, cause learning by doing is "somewhat" better than reading infos posted on some websites.

Well I am prejudiced, I started with a pally and my main is the same pally, so I say yes a pally! Just my personal preference though. Not sure what levels up fastest really, think that depends on your goal. It took me a year, but I wasn't in a hurry.

Paladin is indeed a good starting character, so is a shaman.
Probably the easiest character to play is a cleric. Problably one of the most attention demanding characters is also a cleric.

Jonwin, 55 Paladin.Human, Rodcet Nife.

Winjon 52 Paladin, Gnome, Brell Serelis

Jonwinnie 51 SHaman, troll Innorruk. (Love the clicky snare)
Courtin 61 Cleric Froglok, Mithaniel Marr.

Then there are the ones I dont play much,

In my opinion the hill giants have been nerfed. They have moved to the north in the zone and they don't drop nearly what they did, and seems to me there are less of them. I used to go for an hour and pull 500 pp from them but not anymore.Smiley: cry

take necro to Dawn Shroud peaks (luclin), find hopper cave, kill hoppers, then kill some more hoppers, loot hopper hides and sell em on bazaar. the flawless ones fetch up to 500pp each on my server (drinal) it should also give you some exp. (tho not much by that level)

Go to natimbi, kill cragbeasts, their blood sells for more than 10K each, though its a very rare drop. Proabably 1 in 40 kills. Also good exp for your neco.
