Temp Items go away if you shroud? Mine did. Was it something I should petition for, or is it supposed to work that way?

Temporary items vanish if you camp, in or out of shroud
That is true. I did some testing on it once.
However, that testing also indicated that Temporary items in the possession of a pet do NOT vanish if the pet's owner is shrouded when he camps. But, I'm sure most pet class players have already figured that out.
