I'm getting a bit tired of shamen casting group shrink when they want to shrink themselves... are there any items that have a clickie grow spell on them?

IIRC cant you just click off the shrink?

Just stay shrunk, it makes it easier for others to see the action with your big-*** shrunk.

Think about your group members for a change, instead of yourself.

I could see if maybe you didn't like being a Scarecrow or a Fairy or an Orc ...but being shrunk?

Get over your imaginary self.

No, you would have to zone to have the effect leave you. It doesn't take up a buff slot so you can click it off.

not sure if this is what you are looking for, but anizok's maximizing device will make you grow. 8 second casting time, 20 charges and rechargable with a mana battery, class 6 i think.

if you're not a tank, cleric, or enchanter, and you're raiding, just deal with it =p

otherwise, lucy.fnord.net is your friend.

Nope... beastlord and not while raiding. while raiding, I have no problem being shrunk. But in a normal group, when the mobs are twice as tall as me to begin with, and the shammy just uses group shrink to shrink himself "because I deleted the single cast one", it really annoys me. :P For me, it's harder to see things when I'm shrunk completely. once I don't mind.. but twice is irritating.

Just a thought...try using the buff block feature...it's new, and i have never used it yet.

Maybe it is worth it to you to buy him the spell again since he destroyed it. Frankly I think it is annoying when no one asks and just casts. If I wanted to be an ankle biter I would have made a gnome. jmo

Can't use the buff block feature, because shrink isn't actually a buff. =\ You're only able to block buffs that actually show in your buff window.

and I agree completely, Seamy. I'd buy it for him again if I knew he wouldn't just get rid of it again. lol I've had a lot of shamen use the group one instead of the single for themselves "because it's easier" also. =\

The other thing would be to ask the shaman to leave the group? Or you to leave it? But if its the same person consistently I would have already handed him the individual spell.

Well I would ask the Shaman that shrank me (without asking) for a grow, repeatedly until it was cast. I have to admit, I did group shrink exactly one time before I learned not to do that. It was a matter of not thinking it through first, I apologized and "grew" those who requested it. Unless it gets requested on a raid, that everyone shrink, that spell no longer gets used, ever.

Make sure you tell the shammies who use that spell not to ever do it again. If you have to, zone and come back (if the shammy won't grow you).

There are also Titan potions, fairly cheap now.

That is not true, you can block mod rods and they do not show up in the window.

Try adding the spell description number into your list using typed commands. The descnum for shrink is 345 , for dimunation it is 1831.

Not that this is likely to help the OP, but illusions also over ride it. Many times my bard was shrunk and I'd click an illusion mask, click off the illusion and be restored to my normal self.

unfortunately, sony "fixed" that. If you use an illusion, then click it off, you're still small now. It doesn't revert you anymore. =\

hm.. seems like a hassle. Would I be able to remove that and re-add it when needed, like when my guild is raiding and shrink is needed?
#18 Apr 15 2006 at 11:59 AM Rating: Decent
lich grows you I know that for a fact pisses me off a lil on raids cause I usually have to burn thru shrink charges to comply with raid rules.

Not that its expensive really just somewhat of a hassle and I am sick and tired of trying to get that damn wand.
#19 Apr 15 2006 at 12:59 PM Rating: Decent
wand isn't that hard to get plus the deep is a fun place.

#20 Apr 18 2007 at 12:33 PM Rating: Default
I agree, the wand was pretty fun to get. I duoed with 75 wiz and 73 shammy. The mobs arent tough, its just that one wrong move and youll have about 30 of them on you. It was fun getting to the camp, once there, I got the wand to drop twice in bout an hour. Now my shammy can clicky shrink himself and not **** everyone off, though I don't really understand everyones issue with being shrunk. It makes it easier to get around!

To each his own I suppose

Only item other than potions I know of is Anizok's Maximizing Device but it's only 20 charges. There are also some potions, namely: Philter of the Titan.

But I'm with others, live with the shrink. I don't particularly like it when I'm playing a short race to start with, such as gnome, halfling, or even wood elf. But any larger race, I welcome a shrink, especially on the huge races, such as ogre, troll, or barbarian. I really wished they had a thinning spell, 'cause heighth doesn't bother me as badly as width. Trolls and ogres are very wide and block the view worse than any other. Even shrunk, they are very wide. :(

Yther Ore.
