i know there used to be a file that could be easily edited to prevent the spam of advertisments from soe.

what is that file, and what is the line that needs to be edited and with what info.

thanks.

eq.ini

it changes based on the expansion, but it's pretty easy to see which lines to set to 0

Ok after doing some searching I've found the file. It was in the Everquest file under the "eqlsplayerdata" title.

It contained this:

LastServerID=77
LastServerName=Firiona Vie (Roleplaying Preferred)
HasReadSWarning=true
ProphecyFirstOffer=1144776058
ProphecyLastOffer=1144776058
ProphecyViews=1

Now how do I modify that to stop showing the message asking me to order PoR?

Thank you.

that line that states lastoffer=xxx needs to have a date in it that is for earlier then today. you can edit that file with any text editor like notepad. that is the line i need to know what # to change to in order to get rid of the spam.

Propehcy views = 0 ? would be my guess. Tech forums can be your friend in this instance.

Ah, you mean eqlsPlayerData.ini? I don't think views is the number left, I think it's the number of times they made you look at the ad. I set mine to 99, will see what happens.

:(
