The cleric epic has a type 4 slot for an aug. This can be equiped with augs that are usable in any slot. However since clerics can bash and the type 4 slot is considered a combat aug slot it makes sense that you could equip a dmg type aug.

I have done this but have not be able to get it to proc.
So, Can you bash with a shield and have a aug proc?
And if not what suggestion for a aug to place in the type 4 slot?

AC augs are good for the shield. I myself wish i had one there. I have been told that ac added tot he shield counts tot he actual AC cap that we have. So more ac bang for your buck putting it in the shield. Also, i have read that the more AC in a shield makes bigger damage on bash. i myself just havent got an AC aug for mine yet. i also love hp, so i tend to go for those more than anything else. i only have two non hp augs, one for extended range, and another for dodge III. all the rest have hp.

we are anguish flagged now so i can't wait for more hp/mana augs. i will get more mana without having to give up my beloved hp! ;-)
