I was amazed to see activity on the board, and no weekend update yet.
(Unless I'm just blind.)

Friday: Created a beastlord on Povar, and leveled him to 10. I've got Craptacular gear, and I'm loving it. Can you remember the last time you actually considered a 2pp Soiled Breechclout a signifigant upgrade? And then contemplated buying it, or saving up for something else?

Saturday and Sunday: Played my new beastie. And died. A lot. I am now an expert at the slipgear quest, and very much doubt if I'll ever die doing it again. I might post in depth instruction on the item or quest page. Incidentally, doing the slipgear quest at level 10 will take you all the way up to level 12, if you don't die as much as I did.

Aside from that, feel free to send a "hello" tell if you see me running around. (I'm new to the server, and don't have a friends list yet.)

Bellam,

Level 45 bst on Povar that i play once a week or so as a break from my main on AB.(Larinel)

I honestly never thought of doing the slipgear quest at a low level, are the stats level limited? I'll have to check my druid and see if there is a recommended level.

Way to go.))

No weekend eq to speak off, log on, play an hour, log off for sleep...as i worked all weekend.

LoL

Clicked my magelo link and yes recommended level of 55, but still should be a good low level addition at that.

Bellam = smart guy ))

Friday - Guild raid on the creator in Sszra. Didn't go so well. MT would take 16k damage, get healed for 15k, then die. Then the summoning started and... We recovered after the first two mini-wipes, but then during the third the golems repopped and the decision was made to call it. Still I had a good time, it was my first trip to the zone and I thought the portal tubes we're pretty cool.

Saturday - My band played Sat. night so not much EQ. I did get on my mage alt for a few hours in the morning and dinged 53 while soloing in Dulak.

Sunday - A guildie asked for help with the Necro epic in PoS. Everything went well until we got to the Keeper of Souls. A few people didn't have time to wait for the spawn and that dropped us to a single group. We decided everyone would attack except me and I'ld wait out of sight incase they wiped so I could rez them back. Invis dropped while trying to target the second corpse and I got a quick trip back to the Guild Hall. Still now most of have the keys needed to get back, so the next attempt should go alot quicker.

I will certainly look you up.

It's actually not too bad. The Hive is killer because the far obelisk (west?) has a lot of mobs that see through your sneak as soon as you get too close, even if they con indifferent. Probably because at level 10 your sneak is so low. I didn't have nearly as many problems when I shrouded to a 55 goblin for Bellam.

It's actually easier to move through the near obelisk, and hit the reanimation chamber, warrens, and shrine all in one go with the goblin shroud. If you're going the right way, you don't encounter even a single web/trap/thingie.

Recluse canyon and the living bridges are just easier to do with an inviso'd fairy shroud, unless you can find some nice druid to cast sow and levi on you in gobby form. (If you're reading this, thank you.) Innate sow and levi help quite a bit, as you can just run up the mountains, and glide over the check points.

(Technically, you can get the warrens by standing over the marker on the surface, but why bother, you'll go through it going to the queen's shrine anyway.)

As for recommended level, my beastie is level 11, and I'm getting the full stats of the augment, so it's invaluable - Especially starting from scratch on a new server. The dex bump is especially nice for weapon skill training.

I am the kind of player that will gladly die 10 times to get something right. I think I probably die more than I should, but when I'm done, I not only cure myself of the original mistake, but of 9 very simillar but distinct mistakes.

Smiley: banghead <- That's my learning style. Usually the wall gives out before my head.

Anyway, I look forward to seeing you on Povar, and thanks for the complement.

You have to use HoTs to keep your MT healed. Least you used to have to. Potions might help too, though I haven't tried this in awhile. My current guild is going after this guy in a week or so. Should be fun. If you enjoyed this, you HAVE to do the Cursed cycle in the basement. Too fun.

Anyhow, I didn't do much this weekend, really. Finally got my group C6 spell, though, which was nice and some huge upgrades for my rogue that I barely ever play. Pulled together a miniraid and got bunches of greater runes for guildies and people I kinda knew that happened to show up in LFG at the time. Also got some PoP flags for my chanter on Saturday.

Sunday did some fabled in Karnor's, but couldn't get the Warlord to pop. Was kind of annoying so we left and tried to take out the Alpha Ferran in NC. Was a total disaster. I had never actually fought this guy, but we screwed up aggro on the pull and had ferans running all over the place. As I mezzed em someone would break it. I had just loaded mem blur to prevent a total wipe when Alpha summoned me. Called it a day after that.

Friday - attempted Uqua. Got all the way to Barxxt but couldn't pull off the win :( So close, we'll get it next time.

Saturday and Sunday - no EQ. Wife and I took a motorcycle riding course.

Spent most of my weekend at work moving and installing new computers at work. What time I did spend in-game was helping some guildees take down fableds and getting my 63 ranger within three blue ticks of 64.

Spending this next weekend teaching EQ to a family member who wants to play. I rolled a level 1 froggy cleric for myself so I could play along in the tutorial. Family member may generate a pally or a ranger. Looking forward to this weekend.

My weekend began on Thursday with some guild grouping.
Went to NC as a slot filler, 48 to the level 65's in the guild.
Got exp however! After the tank had to log we went on a hard LDON.
I was the highest at 48 and it was a piece of cake. Unfortunately we had no rogue as we found 2 chests. One I bashed open for a potion of DE and roots.
Friday saw the 21 rogue back in WW hoping for another chance at the fabled bracer. This time, thanks to Kajolus I was able to get it. ( I had reminded him to try the wood for the fabled Grachrist.)
Elne logged on her ranger for a bit and we kept killing the Iksar maneaters until we both dinged and her ranger needed to go sell.
Later that she logged on her druid and we both went to So Ro to start killing sg. Ended up with 2 more guild members and 2 strangers for a full group kill fest. Elne dinged 44 on druid, I dinged 49 on shaman.
Saturday saw me play my cleric with Kajolus's druid and sk combo in unrest, then whne elne woke up I moved to my comp and helped her get the Lucky miners gorget and cloak from lava.
I think I spent some time in No Ro waiting on the leader spawn as well.
Elne and I then went out to dinner with a fried. Went to Little Italy here in town, the chef at the restaurant works there part time, he actually works full time in the musuem next to mine and I have known him since college. It was a great meal!
Sunday was work, I came home to play in No Ro. Took 17 kills before the needed mob popped. Not too bad however, with the loot and having the druid of 33 along to soak up exp.

The ABove thread was written by me. I forgot to log elne out and myself in.
No wonder she has more posts than I do.
