EQ 1 or EQ 2Follow

Hey I want to get back into MMORPG gaming but I don't know if I should play EQ or EQ 2. I haven't played EQ since the ldon expansion so I don't know about the game nowadays. I have never played EQ 2 and I was wondering which one I should play. Please give a list of pros/cons for each game.

Also is the price for the games similar? What would it cost me to get up-to-date with EQ or EQ 2. Also what would I have to pay a month to play one of these games.

Well here's how I see it... LDoN wasn't *that* long ago, and much of the game now is instanced in that fashion. You can get the Titanium package which has all EQ expansions up to the newest one, and that's only $20 or so.

I would only advocate going to EQ2 if you are a true newbie and haven't played EQ1 at all. You should already know enough about the game to be plenty familiar with EQ1. And the server population base isn't anywhere near as dire as some people like to say.

Are you looking for a game to entertain you for a few months until something better comes along? Perhaps want something you can log into - spend an hour and still feel like you gained something? Then I'd suggest EQ2.

If you're looking for something with a bit more depth, true team progression activities and varied enough that you can spend an hour or 8 at a time. Then I'd suggest EQ1.

Prices are equivalent. Both games are easy to learn. EQ1 just has more to offer than EQ2.

Not to hijack the thread, Debalic, but those Lego people are engaged in an activity for which they have no plastic parts. I know their hands lock around, um things. Oh wait, I bet it is a new lego add on that slips between the legs and the torso, now available with the Lego adult party pack
