I'd like to start a discussion on people flaming/arguing/demonstrating thier lack of maturity on the Alla forums. Just about every post I've read in the last couple weeks that extend beyond a couple posts about topic quickly degrade into a flame contest. case in point: Here (just in case the postings disappear it was an ugly flaming contest) I'm guessin the staff at Alla have enough to do without playing forum babysitters except for the really agrievous posts. I know that the forum posts have a "rate this post" button, which after a certain karma rating, the post will disappear, but when I rate a post, even on one that the original poster has only a few posts, the Karma doesn't change. I rate both good and bad. I suspected that if you only gave bad ratings, your "karma" scoring would be suspended, so I worked at rating the good posts appropriatly as well. Still no changes.
Your ideas (constructive critisizm pls) are welcome.

The reason you're not seeing any change when you rate someone is because your rating isn't high enough. To rate someone, you must be at least scholar.

(PS- Yes, this was meant to be stupid as an illistration. There's no great wit in this post, just a blantant example of stupidity which everyone must've had in their head- that one poster who, beyond flaming for some kind of reason- is just a complete idiot who you wonder how he hasn't killed himself yet with scissors.)
