Is it just me or do the items dropped in LDoNs from named mobs seem ridiculously weak? I love doing the ldons because people have to actually play their characters and the time involved is minimal. Am I imagining this?
LDoN is.. well, I almost cringe to say this, but an older expansion. The loot tables are behind. When it first came out, we flocked to it.. augments! They were so great.. I could play for about an hour and get +14 to a stat (from a hard 65 LDoN) with two +7 Aug's. It was great! I could've just bought AA's, getting about one an hour, so +2 to a stat instead..
On Rallos Zek, too, LDoN took on a new aspect. Armor was lootable on the PvP server; once aug'd, droppable armor .. excuse me, something just came up.

LDoN kicked *** back when it was new....You couldn't get better dropped items from such easy content.............but SoE in all of their wisdom has decided to not update LDoN drops or rewards.....This basically makes LDoNs worthless unless you are a warrior wanting some anger procs cheap...........I loved LDoNs.....but right now they aren't worth it......The dropped items suck, the augs suck and the reward items all suck(**** better hp ft or atk rot on OoW trash..........)
I can't even find anything to spend the points on that I already have. Course I don't have max on any one LDoN, but still. WIsh I could buy radiant crystals with them. Or use them as tribute or give them to people.
the augs are not even worth the slot anymore. not will the DoN augs and others that came out.

The only thing that was halfway decent out of Ldons was Pack Shrew....and thats only if you're indoors and soe has worn off as a last resort.
Would be nice if they re-evaluated all the ldon loot tables but that's never gonna happen.

There's still a few scattered goodies in LDoNs. I still need to get enough points cause I want to get Jagged Gravestone of Affliction for my chanter. And there's always HP augs. Generally, though, the drops inside the dungeons are worthless now a days.

anger augs are not cheap. ldon anger augs were an utter pita.

Easier and better to get than grinding out LDoN points....
Good point...thanks. I've been after that stupid aug for so long now I've kinda blinded myself to other things. Would have to replace Hive Silk Mask, though, but I could just pick up that Muram's Anger aug from DoN til I got something else. Hmm...now I'm wondering what other stuff I think I want but could probably get something better for less effort lol.
I may still try to get the aug at some point anyhow, though, as I like the flexibility of augs and really only need it for the extra tick on mezzes.

Thanks for the links, Elorian. I'll have to check those out. I did try for that one off the sharpshooter before, but we had some um...issues there. I'll be trying to get the mask you originally linked, but the thing never seems to drop. Any idea how rare it is? All I ever see are those melee neck items. Despite that, it does still seem easier than getting the LDoN aug, sadly.
LDON's do need to have their loot upgraded but I still do enjoy them. Some peeps in their 60's need points for LDON spells too. Hanging out with some guildies in an instanced zone is fun. It is semi-decent experience too.

As for the mask it might be rarer but it is well worth it seeing as you wont get any better until Anguish or DP/devestation(zombie mal)

I'm a chanter. I'll just have to do this a bunch I guess. Not a huge deal as no one else in my guild has done this one yet so I'm sure I'll have plenty more opportunities to do it. Not to mention I seem to get a couple random requests for help on this once or twice every week or so. I'll just have to move it up on the priority list a bit.
ldon was fairly easy with level 65s. though i never tried it after oow came out. it just wasnt rewarding anymore. even the FT augs in ldon don't seem like much now.
